Description:

For this swap you will put some goodies and a cheery note into one very small envelope and label it ONE put that envelope into a little bit bigger envelope along with another note and some more goodies and label it TWO put that envelope into an envelope that is again a little bigger along with another note and more goodies and label it THREE etc. Do this until you have an envelope labeled ONE, TWO, THREE, FOUR, FIVE, SIX, SEVEN. The very biggest envelope (labeled SEVEN), will be the one that you put your partner's address and stamps on.

When you receive your envelope open one envelope every day for a week (seven days) to reveal some fun! Try to hold off on opening everything at once, the fun part is that you have mail every single day for a week- including Sunday!

Please put a little different note in each envelope (7 notes total) just to say hi, explain what the goody is, or to wish your partner a great day etc.

Ideas for goodies to place in the envelopes: sticker sheet, loose stickers for the smallest envelope, gift tags, emery board, gel pen, photograph, postcard, decorated envelopes, note card, letter set, buttons, keychain, address labels, zines, necklace, tea bags, slams, handmade something or another, the list goes on and on. Sender's choice but pleassse do check out your partner's profile!

Are nice handmade envelopes O.K?

paperbutterflywings 03/28/2011 #

would it be okay to put 7 small envies inside one big one as I don't have 7 different sizes and I'm not so good at making them!

Lima 03/28/2011 #

How many goodies for each envelope?

Gofeen, Handmade envelopes are fine!

Paperbutterflywings, part of the fun of this swap is to slowly reveal a layer per day, if your partner opens up the big envelope and can see everything at once I don't think it'd be quite as fun :( You're not limited to envelopes though! You can put the smallest envelope and the next goody in some tissue paper and tape it up, then put that in a cellophane baggy, then that in a page of magazine taped up, etc, sky is the limit as long as your partner gets to reveal a new layer every day :)

Lima, I'd say just don't put 1 sticker or 1 loose anything per envelope. if you put loose stickers for one of your envelopes put in around 10-15. Don't just put one loose gift tag in the next envelope, put 5-8. I hope that helps. You can put as many as you want per envelope but for example one sticker sheet or 10-15 sticker flakes in 1 envelope would be the minimum.
