April is National Poetry Month in the United States. This swap is about what's going on in your state. Go to the National poetry month map find your state and see what's happening. Read the poems, find out about your state's poet laureate, check out the poetry-friendly bookstores, etc.

Send a partner a note telling him or her something interesting you discovered about your state at the site AND send a poem. It can be by you, by your favorite poet or something you found on the map site.
