Description:

I just finished the Rainbow of Grannies swap, and my autistic 7 year old son was VERY excited by all the wonderful colors (different from any of the yarn I have here at home). We decided to make an afghan for him to cuddle under while he watches tv...he's very excited about it! So I guess my motives for this swap are sort of selfish...I need more squares so Gavin can get cuddling!

Now to the swap...

You will be assigned 3 partners for the swap - you will send 3 7"x7" squares to each partner - everyone should end up with a total of 9 squares after the swap is over. Feel free to send additional squares!

Also, you MUST use a 4-ply worsted weight yarn (Red Heart, Caron or similar...) and each round should be a different color.

This is a great way to shrink the ranks of your scraps that are hanging around!

The lowest allowed rating for this swap is 4. Newbies are welcome, even if you have not been rated. I'll be angeling, so if you do not receive your squares, please let me know.

Do we send the 9 squares to you when we receive them?

2 q's. 1: do you want wool, acrylic, cotton or other fibre? 2: do you have a pattern? I know how they are made, but I'd like them to be really good!

@Sunflower - the squares you receive are yours to keep...unless you'd like to send them to Gavin! Just let me know!

@gewalli as long as they are 4-ply worsted weight, any yarn will do - acrylic is the least expensive, but any worsted weight scraps will be fine!

http://www.crochetpatterncentral.com/directory/7insquares.php any of the squares linked on this page will be fine, but if you want a simple pattern, this one is great http://www.jpfun.com/patterns/free/grannysquares/f101001basicgranny.shtml
