Description:

Hello, I´ve been searching for a simple international tea swap for the last couple weeks and haven´t come across one so I figured I´d start one myself.

The rule will be simple-- to send 1 partner at least 4 individual bags of tea, each a different type or flavor.

(If possible, try to send something a little different, something we couldn´t buy down the street, Twinnings or Lipton in our global era aren´t so unique.)

I don´t see any problem with loose tea as long as it is well sealed. If you send tea bags that are enclosed in a thin filter that could easily get damaged with some external dirt or water, please seal those bags in saran wrap or ziplock or something water resistant.

Please check your partner´s profile to see his/her tea preferences.

Please put together a nice little package, something that you yourself would like to receive.

I guess we have to exclude Aussies because their Customs don´t allow tea from abroad, sorry.

Please be patient while waiting to receive your tea, the postal service can take up to 2-5 weeks in some circumstances.

This sounds lovely, but what's a "non tea partier"? :)

WOW...nuff said

Hi Rachrrnm, that´s a reference to a very narrow-minded political organization in the United States. They discriminate against a lot of minority groups (gays, immigrants, people who want more social and economic equality....) and they are very gullible and many believe in guns. They call themselves the "Tea Party" and, generally speaking, they don´t like foreign things and I want this to be an international swap where everyone feels welcome regardless of where they were born; this way we can learn about and enjoy some unfamiliar flavors from afar!

Gosh, I basically want to join this swap for the title rather than just the swap itself! I'm from England but I really have had enough of narrow-mindedness, from both sides of the pond.
