Description:

This maybe a fun swap with a little undercover art history. Research a famous artist (Degas, Kahlo, Modigliani, Gauguin, DaVinci, etc). Using examples of their work or if you are ambitious create 3 mini works of art like theirs and place them on 3 embellished tags. On the reverse side of the tag art indicate the information (name of artwork and artist, along with your information). Tie the three tags together with interesting ribbons. Wah lah your partner will have a piece of TAG ART. You must have a rating of 4.5 to enter this swap and it is open to international. You will be bumped out if you have any no sends. Please practice good karma and send your swaps. Also please put your best work forward so your partner will give you a star!;o)

Hey Kimberly. Just wondering about the size of the tags. I am guessing 3 X 6. Please let me know if I am wrong. Looking forward to this swap.

Fridafan: Yes, the tags can be 3 x 6 inches. That's a perfect size. I wouldn't make them any larger though. Thanks for asking, Kimberly

I like this idea, but I'm not completely sure what tag art is. Can someone explain it to me?

Erna 12/ 1/2007 #

Dear SarahSarah

Tag art is another form of an ATC - a decorated card that is tag-shaped, with a hole punched in one end. Like an old-fashioned luggage tag. I usually make my own from card, unless I happen to have one around - like when I've bought a new item of clothing. Some brands attach fancy tags to their clothes.
