Mail Art is one of the most fun and therapeutic forms of art, precisely because it has very few rules. So be brave, sign up, and have some fun! This swap has a long send time to allow you to relax and have fun with your mail art, not because we expect you to product Mona Lisa quality collages. And if you have not done mail art before you may need a bit of time to look around the internet, and maybe your library, to get some ideas. While mail art has few rules, it does have a few principles: you don't need "fancy" equipment to participate, some of the best stuff usually comes through found/recycled objects, and a sense of humor is helpful. And since this is the HAW, a reference or a hint of something related to Children's Literature will be needed to complete your project but feel free to interpret that as broadly as you like. For this swap you will have 2 partners, as once you get started with Mail Art it's easy to get a bit carried away! Create two mail art envelopes, 1 envelope for each partner. Put a small flat mail surprise in each envelope and you are done. What will qualify as a "small flat surprise?" Here's some suggestions:
If you have a question please post it below, and/or send me a message and I will post the answer here as soon as possible. Have Fun & Happy Swapping! Onyx |
