Description:

I recently participated in a fabric charm swap, and I had forgotten how much fun I used to have hosting these. So I'm bringing them back and hope you'll join me!

Lots of us are looking to build our stash (whether we need to or not), so let's begin again with a 1930s reproduction charm fabric swap. "Charms" are simply cut squares of fabrics to give you a little sample of different patterns.

We will:

  • Send neatly & accurately cut 5 inch squares (12.7 centimeter squares).

  • Send 5 charms to each of 3 partners. Please, no duplicates within the 5 charms to each partner. NO SOLIDS. Thanks!

  • Indicate to your partner whether the squares are washed or unwashed

  • Send good quality fabrics, 100% cotton as would be used for quilting

  • Send on or before the swap deadline. On the rare occasion that you may need to send a bit late, please contact your partner and the swap host before the swap deadline has passed.

  • Include the swap name and your user name in your package to make rating easy for your partner.

  • Kindly rate your partner in a timely manner, please.

  • Have fun sharing your fabric stash!

Swapper Requirements: For this swap, please have a profile with at least a few paragraphs about yourself and a minimum of 3 Type 3 swaps completed and rated. No unresolved/unexplained 1s and 3s in your ratings; please contact me with further information if needed.

What can you do with fabric charms? There are LOTS of options! Here's some inspiration.
