Description: | |
For this swap you will create one Babushka or Matryoshka type paper doll for one partner. The doll can be any character you like, but she or he must be styled upon the Russian folk dolls that are characterized by the roly-poly shape and the bright, vivid colors, and the stacking or nesting qualities that are found with these dolls. So, here are the swap requirements: Babushka style doll One partner Doll is between 6 and 10 inches tall Brightly-colored, original design Must have between three and seven dolls incorporated that nest, stack, fold, or otherwise convey the nesting theme. If you are not sure of this requirment, PM me to discuss. The mermie doll pictured is hinged at the tope and bottom and opens at the midline under her breastess-es and inside are four other dolls of the same pattern, just reduced in size and colored differently, with a final, tiny doll that does not open as the last inside layer. Your doll can be made any way you want - maybe you will have pockets on the back that hold the different dolls, maybe you want to just stack them with magnets holding them together - maybe you will make an accordian folded set of dolls. However you can dream up to convey the idea is up to you. We will have a fairly long time create these dolls to give people time to experiment. I hope you consider joining b/c these dolls are just fun and beautiful. As always, I will angel for flakers, but if you flake, expect to be banned from the group. As usual in my swaps, the send-by date is a swap requirement. If something comes up and you cannot send by the required date, it is your responsibility to make arrangements with your swap partner to avoid being rated down. We all know things come up, but communication is the key to remaining happy swappers! As usual, have fun playing with your paperdolls! |
