Description:

I really love crazy patchwork quilts and I wondered how to translate that into crochet without it looking crazy. Now I have it! This will be a series of at least 9 swaps, though I may continue going for those that want a larger piece. If you participate in all of the swaps, you will get a wide assortment of granny squares in all kinds of colors. As you get them, or when you have them all, just assemble your crazy granny square afghan. This is a great way to use up small amounts of leftover yarn!

For this swap, you will make 1 (one) 6 x 6 granny square for 1 partner. You must use a minimum of 3 different colors.

Worsted weight yarn only for this swap so the thickness of the afghan can be consistent. You may use whatever fiber you'd like (cotton, wool, acrylic, etc). If you have a fiber allergy, please post it below.

And by "without it looking crazy" I actually meant, "without it looking bad".

Just so I'm clear - does a grannie square always start with a ring in the centre?

MrsTinyDuckie 08/16/2011 #

Yes, I believe it does. I've never seen different anyway.

Sorry - I'm not up to scratch yet: I'm not confident of getting the tension right. I won't join this time round.
