This swap is for Handmade Sewing-Notion-Embellished Pins----If you love sewing or quilting then this swap is for you! Using either a safety pin, a regular pin fastener, or a recycle jewelry brooch pin for your pin backing. You will have one partner to swap with---you may use as many notions to create a LOVELY NOTION PIN for your partner---so the design and choice of notions is senders choice! Check your partners profile to customize it to them. Remember we want creativity! Use NO MORE than 4 notions on our "4LOVEofNOTIONS--Handmade Pin" ---we don't want it so loaded down that it can't be worn on a lapel. You may use 4 different notions or repeat the same notion in different sizes or colors or shapes. Examples of notions that could be used in your pin creations: thimble, thread, spool, needle, seam ripper, ruler, rotary cutter, scissors, pincushions, cutting mat, glass head or flower head pins, bobbins, ribbon, needle threader, measuring tape, etc. I know there are more notions than this--a stroll down the notions aisle at Joann's or Hancock Fabrics or wherever you shop for notions should be inspiring. Then create a handmade pin using whatever you can get your hands on! Old jewelry, notions, miniature doll furniture, polymer clay, fabric, felt, buttons, etc. Spending limit for this swap is $10.00 or less (mailing cost not included)...try to be thrifty and use what you have or visit the Goodwill Store or Salvation Army for unique goodies. Your imagination is your only limit to how creative you can be. Create something you would like to receive! Newbies welcome with a filled out profile. I will check every person out who signs up. Please don't sign up if you don't love to sew or quilt! International swappers welcome. This is my first swap as a hostess--don't let me down people! Once you have mailed your swap to your partner please upload your pic of your pin to our Flickr swap group...I haven't created it yet...stay tuned! Check back. Anything I haven't covered here or if you have questions...just ask! |
