ok, i was just looking into journal prompts, and got an idea i think is great! so, i'm going to share, in the form of a swap! step 1: post 2 or 3 of your favorite poems in the comments below.(be sure to list author. if it's a hard to find one, put a place to find poem...) step 2: when partners are assigned, look at your partners comment. check out the poems...(you may have to check the library, or bookstore to find it...) pick 1, or intersperse all. step 3:buy a lined journal (unless your partner states she prefers unlined) that kind of suits the theme of the poem. (even if it's a dark colored journal for a dark poem. you interpret) step 4: put parts of the poem on some of the pages throughout the journal. be sure to leave space for them to journal. (like, put a line across the top, leaving lines open. note: this is open for interpretation, and is just an example. don't give a 3 if the poem lines are in a different spot. it's only important there be room to journal later) step 5: put some art or something around some of the edges. even a doodle, or stamp, preferably meeting the theme of the poem. note: not every page has to have poem lines or doodles. just be sure it's interspersed throughout, not just on the first page or 6.. The goal here is to create a journal for your partner they will absolutely love to write in! now, i'm not listing a particular number to be higher than. i will check everybody thoroughly, and be watching the questionable swappers thread. i will ban as necessary. if you see someone you'd rather not swap with, shoot me a pm about why. i will consider it carefully, and pm you back. i really want this swap to be fun! also, i'm sorry, but i'm leaving extreme newbies out of this one. you must have at least 3 rated swaps that aren't internet swaps. and, for everyone, and i can't stress this enough: FILL OUT YOUR PROFILES!!! it's soo hard to be sure you'll like something if your profile isn't filled out!!! this shouldn't have to be said, but be sure to rate fairly. i'm not going to state what to give a heart for. if you don't know what they're for, read the faq section. and remember, hearts are not a have to do thjing, like 5's for meeting requirements. they are at will. send what you'd like to receive, and remember the actual rules of rating. you can't give a 3 because you didn't like it. that's just the rules of swapbot. but, you can try your best to make it something your partner will love. remember, everything you write on the internet is open to interpretation... we can't read your face. also, if you haven't picked a few poems by the swap date, your partner will pick a poem for you. if you want to know you'll love it, MAKE SURE YOU POST A COUPLE POEMS! if you have any ?'s be sure to ask. i think that's everything, but i may have forgotten something... o, i love when theres pictures in the swap gallery! please post pics there, especially if you're proud of what you've made! this is international. |
