I am a 20 year old girl from England currently on a gap year before going to study English and French at university in September - hoping to do a bit more travelling before I go so I'm very excited!

I will listen to most things and my taste varies quite a lot!

Favourites are The Killers, Stars, Of Montreal, Tunng, Band of Horses... currently leaning towards electronic or experimental things like Laurie Anderson, Ratatat, Pomplamoose... quite interested in mix cds if anyone can reccommend anything new and/or similar to any of these...

I love reading but seem to have fallen behind lately... my absolute favourites are The Book Thief by Marcus Zusak, Oranges are Not the Only Fruit by Jeanette Winterson and the Birdsong trilogy by Sebastian Faulks. Quite like a lot of poetry as well, Carol Ann Duffy, e.e. cummings, T. S. Eliot, and again very interested in anyone who can introduce me to anything new!

Largely depends on my mood!

I like romantic comedies, pyschological films like Inception, The Science of Sleep, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Lost in Translation, some sci-fi (The Matrix!), I like watching foreign films, French new wave....

I don't really watch a lot of television to be honest... although I do have a weakness for glee. Used to be a massive Torchwood fan and I still watch Doctor Who, maybe watch documentaries from time to time.

Would like to get back in the habit of drawing regularly, writing, painting, would love to learn to crochet! I can knit but not very well...

I have just joined postcrossing and bookcrossing and am very excited! I would love to be more involved with letter writing, swapping, random acts of kindness... please if you can give me helpful hints in the right direction!
