I love making things and swapping crafts! Interests include paper arts, stickers, mail art, jewelry-making, altars & shrines, tarot, Magic, art journaling, and sewing.
I have three grown children, and two small grandkids. Right now they live in a different city as me, and I'm trying to snail mail them letters and interesting things to maintain a sweet connection.
I was in education for 20 years, but taking time off to regroup and discover what's next for me in the world of work. Right now I’m getting back into hand-dying clothing and will soon be listing a few pieces on Etsy! (Love crafting as a healing activity!)
I'll take great care when making or preparing swaps- and I'll try my best to send you something you'll enjoy. I appreciate the opportunity to meet new friends and send "happy mail" via Swap bot!
If anyone is interested in a one-on-one swap for something handmade, I would be totally into that...just PM me.
It's such a bummer that postage cost so much these days. I try to challenge myself to send interesting things for the least amount of postage. And I appreciate others who do the same. Send me something thoughtful & creative, for one or two stamps-- I am impressed with those packages the most!
I love all kinds of music, especially music that involves storytelling
Instead of specific books, I'm going for authors and genres: I like Sherman Alexie, science fiction (American Gods and anything by Octavia Butler are favorites), Rumi
As I think of more will add
I love earth tones (Browns, mauves, rust orange, desert greens, etc.) and jewel tones (rich purple, cerulean blue, deep fuschia, emerald green, etc.)
My favorite crafts are related to paper. This includes painting papers, collage, art journaling, ATC's, rubber stamping, etc.
I also enjoy making medicine bags and tiny wire sculptures (these I usually leave around town, for others to find as "found art".)
I have been crafting for at least ten years. Making and sharing my art is therapy for me!
Hand painted papers, pretty papers, rubber stamping, anything related to print arts, vintage things, old book pages, vintage/ antique ephemera, thrift store shopping, mail art, awesome dollar store finds, tiny things (stickers, kawaii, buttons, beads, etc.) swapping craft materials
I LOVE Washi tape! Believe it or not i just discovered it...Thought it was a fad...Now I see why its so popular! Love solid colors and artistic/ unique patterns the best. Like paper rather than plastic. All colors welcome.
Things I am likely to send & would love to receive:
+Carefully curated paper scrap packs
+Well-constructed hand made envelopes
+Hand painted papers (tags & envelopes too)
+Sticker bombs (a package of interesting single stickers)
+Themed paper pockets
+Vintage ephemera (1970's and earlier)
+Vintage book pages
+Smash journal prompts
+Handi-craft share
+Hand crafted labels (with inspirational quotes or a tiny poem)
+Art Postcards (I'm not a collector, but I love to pass on)
Forged in fire, law and order, nypd blue, criminal minds, flea market flip, pawn stars, storage wars
*neon colors
*prefer handmade, over popular commercial items
*Disney, unless vintage
*Papers/ images that are that are Americana, country, or too cutesy themed
*Newer ephemera (from the 80's to present. including pieces from newer games, playing cards, sports trading cards, free advertisement, contemporary bookmarks, etc.)
*Random or abused scraps of paper. (If you didn't know what to do with it, probably I won't either, lol!) I have amassed quite a few of these via swaps! :-(
*Seasonal things out of season
