Hello! My name is Cindy and I'm a wife and a mom. I've been with my husband for twenty years and we have a little girl, who was a very happy surprise to us. I've worked at an animal shelter for over ten years. I love it, but it does have it's depressing moments. It also causes pet overpopulation at my house...lol. I have a blind Australian Shepherd, a cranky chihuahua mix and a menagerie of cats.

I decided to change this up a little. When I first started Swap-bot, I would have said that I do a little embroidery and some paper crafting. I don't embroidery very much, if at all. I usually only sew and do embroidery when it's colder. I like smaller projects. The days of huge projects are on hold for a while. The cats are far too nosy and the little kiddo is distracting.

I enjoy illustration and watercolor. I loved drawing and painting when I was a teen and I just quit drawing over the years. Swap-bot helped me to find my creative self again. It's been a fun adventure for sure.

I love books! To Kill A Mockingbird is my favorite. I love anything by Kate Atkinson. I love a good series, Harry Potter, Little House on the Prairie, Outlander, Chronicles of Narnia, etc. Mysteries, crime dramas, romances, historical fiction are some of the genres that I enjoy. I've read everything by Maeve Binchy. Sometimes I just walk through the library and just randomly choose a book to read (that isn't always the most successful way to choose a book though).

In no particular order, The Lord of the Rings Trilogy, Pride and Prejudice (BBC version), Amelie, To Kill A Mockingbird, Sliding Doors, 13 Going On 30, Fiddler On The Roof, Gone With The Wind, etc. Those are just the ones that I have on my shelf. I know I'll add more as I think of them.

Television is mainly background noise to me. I do have some favorites though. I LOVE to watch Downton Abbey. I enjoy How I Met Your Mother and The Big Bang Theory. I've got my DVR set up to record Masterpiece Mystery on PBS. It's hit or miss.
