I am a NY native who splits my time between my beach home in Hampton Roads Virginia and the Northern Virginia Panhandle. I work in the Maritime Industry so I love anything nautical, maritime related or beach themed. I am obsessed with my dog and the great outdoors. I run Half Marathons, do Yoga for the fitness benefit, love to travel- New Zealand is a favorite destination, I have stacks of books that I am always reading my way through, I am a quilter and a crafter. I love my Jeep, the NY Yankees, Kal Barteski Art, good coffee and challenging conversation as well as a great laugh. I believe in Karma, simplicity and recycling.
I do a little bit of everything but lately I have been focusing on my sewing/quilting. I always have at least three WIP and the quilts are starting to pile up!I have dreams of starting a non-profit organization that provides finished quilts to children in hospitals with long term illnesses. I am also working on improving my stamp carving, calligraphy, and cake decorating skills.
I do not own a TV as I feel as though there are a million channels and NEVER anything good on! I do watch some shows though....LOST, Rescue Me, Sex and the City, The Tudors, Californication, Entourage, Dexter, Nip Tuck, Friday Night Lights and Brothers and Sisters when I can catch it.
I am a tough critic when it comes to films however I do have a few favorites....Sliding Doors, Goodfellas, Pulp Fiction, Mallrats, Chasing Amy, A Beautiful Mind, One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest, Inglorious Bastards, Seven, Troy, Down Periscope and The Departed.
Brandi Carlilie, Kelly Clarkson, The Goo Goo Dolls, Jane's Addiction, Death Cab for Cutie, Bob Marley, Hole, KT Tunstall, Pink, Moby, Patsy Cline, and the Beatles just to name a few. Basically anything but Rap, Opera or Country although a few titles from those genres have made their way into my itunes library.
This is a tough one....so many to choose from. Anne Rice-Vampire Chronicles, Eat-Pray-Love by Elizabeth Gilbert, The Divine Secrets of the Ya Ya Sisterhood, Love Life by Kal Barteski, More, Now, Again: A Memoir of Addiction by Elizabeth Wurtzel. My bookcase is packed with travel guide books, cook books and historical fiction.

Cathy - you're so sweet! You definitely made my day with your comments. It was fun to try and come up with something that you might actually get a smile from :D. It makes the swaps so much more fun that way, huh? Hopefully our paths will cross again... ♥
I just now saw your post on my profile! The name is Rae Ann to send to if you haven't already. If you have no big deal :)
