Just a bit of a note. I realise that having things arrive or be received by the close date is part of the swap - however, speaking for myself? I live in Canada, and I have been experiencing either my post being sent days later than when I put it in the postbox, or receiving packages later than the closing date. I really don't mind too much, especially when I see that the sender has gone to a great deal of trouble to ensure that I am well pleased with what I receive. If possible, it would be nice to hear from anyone where their package is going to be late ... but I do take into consideration the content and care with which anyone takes to send me anything. Postage is very expensive these days, and I so appreciate that for some, this may be prohibitive at times, and they may have to wait for their pennies to arrive. I personally didn't receive a heart because apparently my package was dated several days after I posted it ... yet I know that I posted it well within the closing date, and that everyone else who's parcel was also posted that day .. got them on time. So, before I rush to judgement on anyone else, I know Canada Post is just very inefficient, and I won't take it out on anyone when a parcel arrives late, especially if it's an outstanding parcel! oxoxo
Fall Update:
Having completed my third move of the year, I have completed several wonderful swaps. I am so impressed with kindness and thoughtfulness with which people put into their swaps to me. One of the reasons I love this group of people from all over the world.
Of late, I have had to help my family with some unexpected matters related to my Dad's passing, so I've not been keeping up as usual. If I've forgotten to send something please do let me know! My life has been on hold for several weeks now, and I know I get very distracted - so please just let me know and if I've forgotten, I will certainly get on it!
I see so many fantastic swaps for Christmas - I love all of the ingenuity in creating them, and I so appreciate the time that each Swap leader takes to do so. Really fantastic!
I am hoping by the end of October, things will settle down, and I can get back to my life :) I would love to participate in a couple of the creative Christmas swaps, but until I am actually sitting in my living room for more than a day without interruption, I shall just wait.
Cheers to all! oxoxo Cares
