I want to first let ya'll know that I am HUGE into re-using envelopes multiple times!!! They are VERY expensive and when you swap as much as I do, it's so not worth buying or using a new"clean" one for each swap!
If you receive an envie from me that has been "loved" and you are disappointed with it, please let me know and I will send you something in place of it. I do try to appease everyone, but some just can't be pleased. I will hop off my soap box now!
I was active duty Army, stationed at Ft. Bragg, NC, but I am now a veteran and am working towards achieving my Master's in Medicine at Methodist University.
I was a combat medic for 10 years and deployed twice to Afghanistan. I did enjoy it and miss the Army on a fairly regular basis.
I have two and a half kids, two boys and a girl. My eldest is my half as he is my stepson. He is 10, then my other boy and girl are 4 and 2 respectively. They are the most incredible little humans I've ever known!
I am very happily married to an incredible man who is truly my soul mate. I couldn't be more of a lucky girl with my family and they truly are my world.
I mainly listen to stuff like Frank Sinatra, Michael Buble and Norah Jones. My main radio station on Pandora is Michael Buble, and Bruno Mars. I used to listen to country all the time, but some how fell out of it. I think it's because it started to get a little too "teeny boppy" and "poppy" for me. I'll listen to almost anything else though also aside from rap, I'm not a rap girl...
My husband and I are big into the Food Network. We love Cake Boss, The Next Great Baker, Chopped, stuff like that and anything with Gordon Ramsey! We are also big Archer fans, and of course, GoT, finally... I also like some of the other era type shows like Deadwood.
I love anything steampunky or grungy. Big fan of Tim Holtz. I'm a "scrapbooker", but maybe more on the mixed media side than anything else. I distress and ink almost anything I touch! I love playing with textures and colors and seeing how different things will harmonize with each other. I've really enjoyed making my own albums, pocket letters, cards, matchstick books, canvases, etc as well. I’ve recently learned about bag flips, so my husband thanks the person who introduced me to that new idea...(sarcasm, of course) I’ve also just begun seeing if I like project life... so far so good.
I love riding my motorcycle, yes, a Harley, when I can, and doing all kinds of things with my family, so I always have tons and tons of photos of my kids and husband...rarely do I have pics with me in them lol. I'm always looking for new and exciting things to do with tiny people and ways to display all the photos I have! I've also started to get my kids interested in crafting...my son is 4 and is now old enough to play with some things on his own... my stepson, he's 10 and enjoys stamping sometimes.
Stuff that my kids enjoy:
-stickers of any kind at all
-Super hero EVERYTHING
-Spider-Man EVERYTHING
-Trolls
-coloring stuff
-books
All my crafting is paper based.
-Scrapbooks
-cards
-tags
-mixed media
-steampunk everything
-Tim Holtz
-Heidi swap
-Wash Tape
-Color mists
-Texture pastes
-Mod podge
-Diamond glaze
-Resin pieces
I like playing with different mediums for my mixed media and like making my own embellishments such as paper flowers, butterflies, borders, etc
I used to focus mainly on boy related crafty items, but that all changed once my little girl was born. Now, i love all crafty stuff, both boy and girl...
I've decided to add an actual list after receiving a lot of items that I don't like, or that I know won't be used... there are some things that I don't like, but I know my kids will like and can use, so those things can go on a different list perhaps.
Soooo, here goes..
I do not like:
-Cinnamon anything
-Cherry anything
-Unsealed food products, or anything homemade. Sorry, it's for safety reasons for myself and my family.
-Licorice of any kind.
-cigarette smell
-we are not much of a Disney family, so would prefer that to be limited if possible.
-I have no use for stamped images, they would be wasted on me honestly.
-I have more than enough post it notes, and I don’t use the ones I have.
-I have enough paper to fill two stores, so I really would rather not receive paper scraps...

Veterans play too....profile message: Pleasant morning to you my dear, the real reason I joined the military and more specifically the Air Guard is because all my life i have been having dreams with me flying.:-)...then when i got married my husband signed up for the Coast Guard and i was just home unemployed and i saw the recruitment add come out in the daily newspapers and since i was looking for a job , i jumped at the opportunity to live out my dream! I did not do it to protect and serve...or for honor or glory...i did it to make a dream come true! jacianne
I'm sending you a big Texas hug for Spring! I hope things have started to bloom in your area. I love how inspiring Spring is. I see that you do mixed media. That is my next thing to attempt.

Hello there, here a little message from cindygroet. I started SB recently and I am a complete fan already. So many crafters together, swapping and sharing, it is lovely. Sometimes I think I am the only art journaler, but no. I see you like it too. Have a very nice day! Greetings from Holland, Cindy (cindygroet)
