ABOUT ME: Married to Paul for 42 years. Have 2 grown children. Erica and her hubby live nearby, while son, Steve lives in Va. Beach. I am retired teacher,who taught elementary school aged children for 26 years. I have 2 cats, Elley and Trouble.

FAVORITE AUTHORS:I enjoy reading books written by John Grisham, Nicholas Sparks or Jodi Piccoult.

FAVORITE MUSIC: I just love the music of Michael Buble', Johnny Mathis, Barbara Streisand, Il Divo, Kenny G, and Andy Williams.

FAVORITE MOVIES: An Officer and a Gentleman; Pretty Woman; War Horse. Shirley Temple movies and the movies from the 40's.

THINGS I COLLECT: Collect etched stemware from the 30's and 40's. I collect all things watermelon, but have enough of this stuff. Vera Bradley and Mary Engelbreit anything.

FAVORITE COLORS: My colors of choice are watermelon colors (pinks and greens); and reds, blacks and turquoise as well.

FAVORITE TV PROGRAMS, My favorite tv programs are:Criminal Minds; all of the Law and Order programs;The Bachelor;American Idol; One Life to Live and General Hospital, Bones, House, and The Practice.

CRAFTS: My favorite crafts are: quilting, machine embroidery, a little bit of crocheting.

LIKES: I love the beach, especially the Outer Banks of N. Carolina, and anywhere in the Carribean. I like coffee and tea, but not Starbucks. I love dark chocolate, Heath bars, Red Gummi Bears,maple walnut candy, English toffee, molasses candy, potato chips, pecans, macadamia nuts, almonds, and pistachios. Like shopping at thrift stores and participating in swaps. Just love almond soap, bar or liquid ! I also appreciate fabric, sewing thread and machine embroidery thread.

DISLIKE: People who hold up a quilt block swap by not getting the block in on time. People who do not follow rules. Starbuck coffee because it is too strong. Opera and classical music sounds like nails on a chalkboard to me.
