Hi! I'm 55years old and having been crafting and sewing all my life. For the past 10 years I've been very involved in making wedding, graduation, and birthday invitations. I've been an ER Nurse for over 26 years, a mom to one wonderful son, and Nana to the 2 sweetest grandsons on earth! I love to bake, participate in swaps, and advocate for abused and neglected animals.
I've been creating cards for over 10 years and recently became addicted to tags! And, ATCs! Joining swap groups has been such a great way to make friends with peeps who share similar interest. I have a lot of dies and use Make The Cut often. Glitter is okay and very appropriate for some things, but the world got a lot better when Ranger invented Liquid Pearls! My crafting style varies. I like Shabby Chic, White on White, and mixing old with new. I like to make my gifts, so I do a lot of glass etching. Great for wedding gifts.
I adore white on white! Shabby Chic rocks. I like some vintage and retro. My fav color is pink and fav color combo is pink and green.
Smooth jazz is without a doubt my fav type of music. Then, any other kind of jazz. I grew up listening to Billy Vaughn, and it stuck. I also enjoy classical and make a point of going to see Bruce Levingston in concert every year.
I've read every book Richard Bach has ever written. I read a lot of philosophy books - everything from theosophy to epistemology, metaphysics to axiology. I have such a deep interest and appreciation for our universe! Leon Lederman, Brian Greene, Steven Hawking, and Neil Tyson are a few physicists I follow.
I have an entire room dedicated to my crafting. "The Studio", as I like to call it. I can spend a lot of time in here, but when I'm not creating or altering, I spend time with my sweet hubby of 24 years and our precious Bella, a Great Pyrenees we rescued. I volunteer at our local animal shelter, we donate to MANY rescues, and I advocate for all living creatures.
Wow! I could list about a million! Just a few off the top of my head... Tortilla Soup - I really like movies about great family get-togethers (especially about food!). The DVD has recipes!
Anna Karenina - such a classic!
Powder - This movie has such deep philosophical undertones. The first time I watched it, I didn't cry, I wailed!!!
Dance With Me - I was a ballroom dance instructor for Arthur Murray before I went to nursing school and my husband and I still go dancing at least once a month. Fum movie if you're into dancing!
I'll come back periodically and add more as I think of them!
Sex and The City - How can you not love peeking into the life of Carrie?
The Big Bang Theory - The four archetypal characters have perfect chemistry. Bazinga!
Revenge - My favorite "nighttime" soap opera!
NFL Football - I've been a Saints fan since they were the "Aints"! Sean Peyton (coach) and Drew Brees (quarterback) are a great match!
Castle - Need I say more?
Any show on The Science Channel!
