I'm a linguistics student from Stockholm, Sweden. I am also a musician involved in several musical projects ranging from psych pop to avant-noise to not music at all. I like being creative, whatever that might lead to. I dabble in street art from time to time as well.
My idea of a cosy place is a dark, small room far away from the outer world, filled with ephemeral decorations and curious objects. I strive to turn my bedroom into something like that.
I like to read political comics and fanzines.
I am totally fine with nudity, sexism, racism, violence and anything else that I wouldn't want to show my grandmother.
The Books, of Montreal, The Olivia Tremor Control, Phil Elverum, Dungen et al.
Vendredi soir, Me and You and Everyone We Know, Demi-tarif, Richard Linklater, Woody Allen, I'm a Cyborg but That's OK, etc.
I rarely read fiction, but it's a long term goal of mine to have read À la recherche du temps perdu before I die.
Things I like that are in close proximity at the moment of this writing:
Cassette tapes. Not if there's music on them, but if it's just people talking, perfect. Actually, any recording on any medium that isn't music is great.
Musical instruments. Or anything that you can make music/noise with.
Kitsch objects. Preferably three dimensional.
Foreign languages. Books/magazines/pamphlets in anything but Swedish or English.
Stickers. Any, really. Especially air mail stickers!
Photographs. Analog photographs developed from film, not digital ones printed out.
Incomprehensible things. Anything that I can't figure out what it is.
And, of course, mail art. Collages, drawings, poems. Or anything else that will surprise me.
I don't like subcultures involving the colours black or pink. I don't like capitalism.
