Hi, My name is Paula. I am....uhhh...umm.... I am often short of words when asked to describe myself. I live by myself in CT. I'm learning the violin. I have 2 biggish dogs and a cat. For me being creative is such a rush! I have little bits of colorful fun all around me, like dragonflies, bugs, hippos, fairies, little chickie things. ( not to mention the well placed lizard and dinosaur)
Oh my gosh I could go on forever about music I like. I love most kinds of music... except the acid rockish, screeching kind. Love opera, although to some, that is the screeching kind of music.. I listen (usually with closed eyes) to violin and cello music. It's so soothing and calming...ahhh... Right now, I am very fond of an alternative band called Sister Hazel,. Their song :"All For You " just makes me smile....dance, giggle and sing (off key) with the CD. "Change Your Mind" is another great song of theirs. I love things that make me smile and laugh. Life brings so many challenges that those wonderful surprises and whimsical moments should be savored. More importantly they should be noticed, they are all around, and often go unnoticed.
My favorite books are usually short stories, fairy tales and children's books in general. I love fairy tales and stories from other countries and cultures.
My favorite movies are usually old movies. I think "Inn of the 6th Happiness" and "Philadelphia Story" are my favorites these days. I also love Jackie Chan movies. I love martial art movies where they use the wires to create such amazing visuals. "Hero" is another movie I adore.
Cloth doll making, collage and beading are the fun things I am playing with most these days. Assemblages are a cool too. I sculpt a little. I also paint and draw.
Generally, if it has wonderful color or neat textures... or a cool design I love it. Like paper, fabrics, clay. I love seeing how people put themselves into their creations I love stuff my friends create.

Hi! Thank you for your lovely comment about my letter - I'm so glad you enjoyed it! You are the first person outside my family to read anything I've written as an adult, so I was a bit nervous!!
I'm so glad you enjoyed you package I sent you for the "quick newbie swap 7"! I was so worried that you wouldn't like the fabrics.
