Hi my name is Doerien and i live in a historic town in the Netherlands called Deventer. Here I live with my son and our cat. I work at a primary school as a teachers assistant.

I love to travel, making day trips, shopping (especially small unusual shops), visiting thrift shops, having a drink on a terrace with friends, paper crafts, reading crafty blogs and visit Pinterest.

I enjoy making snailmail for my pen pals -Cardmaking - Stamping - Mixed media - Making art from old jeans

I don't read many books. The ones I do read are biography's of interesting persons or travel books. I do read a lot of magazines. I love the Flow and Daphnes Dairy and other magazines about craft, paper or interior design. I often re-use them again to make snailmail.

I listen to lots of music but my all time favourite artists are Phil Collins/ Genesis, U2, Adele, Coldplay en most music of the Motown label especially the Four Tops.

I really like handmade items...I appreciate the time, effort, and creativity it takes to make something special....but I appreciate store bought items, too!! Anytime anyone takes the time to look for just that special something for me is very much appreciated.
