Hi! I was born and raised in Cape Town, South Africa. I have done quite an extensive amount of travelling all over the world. I love most things in life, am passionate about all animals, and have my own little menagerie - 3 dogs, 8 rats and 1 ringnecked parakeet.

Love anything retro vintage, japanese etc. Anything uniquely different.

Favorite Music

I like to think that my parents raised me to appreciate a wide range of music, although I do have my limits with panpipes.

Favorite Movies

Twilight Series! Star Wars, The Fifth Element, Nightmare before Christmas (anything by Tim Burton), Pan's Lambrinth, Avatar etc

Love Science fiction as well as animations!

Favorite Television

CSI, Fringe, Ghost Whisperer, Sanctuary, Flashpoint etc. BIg Bang Theory.

Favorite Crafts

I like to keep myself busy with different crafts. I do find that I can get bored, so I like to dabble in different and interesting new crafts. Always willing to learn!

I make my own teddy bears. I like anything goth-related, nightmares and fairy tales type of stuff. Love Pullip Dolls - but not available in South Africa :( Love anything vampirish, and wolves of course! Love bats!

Love

Calvin and Hobbes, Tattoos. Vintage Teddybears and handbags. Native American Indian Culture and crafts. Learning about other people's cultures! Love anything to do with colours. Favourites are jewel-toned or dirty colours. Anything original! Steam Punk. Felt Calavera. Oh my list could go on and on!!!

Hate

Animal cruelty, visual disturbing pics - porno or scary, gruesome stuff. Artwork with animal bones.....

About Me

I have a chronic medical condition called fibromyalgia. Sometimes I get very bad flare ups that lands me in hospital and (only once) have a missed a send off date. "touch wood" it will not happen again. I thought I may just mention this, just incase. Thankfully my swap partner was very understanding and I put in an extra something to thank her!

Comment: Although the swap was sent late, I can absolutely understand and hope you are feeling much better and that life has normalised. I have to say that this swap was worth waiting for - it is one of the best ones I have received! You are wonderfully talented Nicola. I cannot choose a favourite in all the ornaments you have sent. The birdhouse is gorgeous, the rat is perfect, the asian butterfly ornament is stunning and the pea-in-a-pod is adorable. Thank you for spoiling me - I will cherish these and they will inspire me in my craft space. Thank you as well for the multitude of postal stamps - I cannot wait to go through them :)

The butterflies, too are wonderful, they shall find a great spot in the US. This has been a great year for me and I have made some awesome connections. I shall miss you all.
