Recent college graduate. I am pursuing a career in Opera and classical music as a vocalist. When I am not performing I host karaoke a few nights a week @ a family owned bar, and I write short articles for an online publication in the Arts & Entertainment section.

I am looking to meet creative people and would LOVE to have some old-fashioned, handwritten, sent in the mail pen pals. I am in love with the written word, and I find stories of hand written letters blossoming into a life-long relationship to be romantic.

I was raised Catholic, my practice is still Christian, and I would love to meet people of similar spiritual paths as well.

Although I perform mostly classical selections, I have a large appreciation for music of all kinds.

I generally listen to public radio, Canadian stations (better selection), Alternative, Rock, and Country. I sing all kinds of music and can handle pop, R & B, and modern dance music... but I generally only listen to those styles when I'm working, or working-out.

I don't generally say what my reading material is... as it fluctuates between Fantasy, Romance (of sorts), Christian/Spiritual, Self-growth, random books I might happen to find at a bookstore, Heath and general interests.

But if you want to ask, I can tell you what is currently on my nightstand. ^_^

COLORS: I am particularly fond of Green, and shades of. Indigo, Violets and purples have a place in my heart as well. Followed by blues...

STYLE: I would consider my taste to be minimalistic. I don't like crazy colors or designs, I will always swap for clean over cluttered.

FOOD: I would have to say the tomato is the most wonderful creation as far as edible plants go. There are few dishes that contain tomato that isn't fantastic.

Also, I don't generally eat meat. So if there is a recipe swap, please refrain from sending me a pork-roast recipe. ^_^ That would be nice.

INTERESTS: Music, of basically any kind, is welcome. Even if YOU are the artist. I love to listen to all sorts of music.

Travel, I haven't done much more than national trips throughout north America, but anything foreign is always cool. Coins, maps, postcards, pen pals. Love it!

Stories - its an awful request as I already own too many books. But I just love to read and write them. Poetry too!

Photography - I love to take and display pictures. I've even been known to frame a particularly pretty/poetic card or page from a magazine. Those are always welcome.

Knickknacks - Handmade items, jewelry, craft pieces, GLITTER, key-chains, buttons, etc. I love to reuse items in a different way. Random objects are almost always welcome.

Nature - I love the autumn season in particular, but I also love to decorate in snowflake when the weather turns. Anything natural, old-fashioned, or might be considered an antique is really appreciated. I love the "simple" joys of life. ^_^
