Twice retired teacher with a total of 32 years. Most recently returned from the Marshall Islands after 5 years of teaching. Loved my time there and really love the ocean. I got my scuba certification and tried to be in the water as much as I could. I have swum with sharks, rays, eels, and jellyfish. Now I am landlocked with no ocean for hundreds of miles. I am currently teaching at our local JobCorps.
I love trying new techniques and crafts. I always have some type of journal going and usually more than one. Sort of visual, junk and bullet wrapped up in one. I try and sew everyday-don't always succeed but I give it a try. I am currently working on some blocks using Tula Pink fabric and have a Jen Kingwell on my bucket list. Just recently learned how to knit socks and I am hooked. Going to try knitting toe up next. Tried crocheting but it is not for me. Shuttle tatting is next on my bucket list. I have the stuff but will need to learn by youtube. I love any type of needle craft.
A Fine Balance Just finished the Space Between Us and The Secret Between Us-very good I read mostly on my tablet but every once in a while get the urge to hold real pages in my hands. I set a goal to read 100 this year. Just finished #49 so not sure I'm going to make it this year!
Anything on PBS or Masterpiece. Love those British shows. Since I'm working from home television has become more important. THere is always something to watch on Netflix or Prime....most of the time.
Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, Brigadoon, Holiday Inn, White Christmas, Singing in the Rain, Camelot, Hamilton, What Dreams May Come, Robots, Science Fiction
Shabby, shabby chic),vintage and well loved stuff. Rusty bits and wooden boxes. McCoy pottery and vintage textiles. Rosaries, religious medals and icons. Anything cemetery/funeral related-pictures or postcards.
I try and rate the day I receive a swap.

I am thrilled to find your work in my journal. I had been admiring it in all the other journals. I showed it to my husband, he said :You could do that:. Bless his heart - NOPE, not a chance. Just know I LOVE IT. AND I am so thankful you shared it with me.
