I tend to listen to everything from Marilyn Manson, NIN, Regina Spektor, to Lady Gaga, David Bowie, Grateful Dead etc..I love making eclectic mixed cd's to listen to while I sew when I'm not having the tv as background sound and catching up on my tv series on dvd.
I started quilting around the end of 2008. I also like making purses, totes, wristlets and other crafts in addition to bed and wall quilts. Actually I enjoy trying anything crafty. I learned to crochet this past winter (2009) and LOVED it!
I live in Lancaster, PA. One of the mecca's for all things quilt oriented... there are tons of awesome quilt fabric stores dotted along our landscape. Many traditional Amish quilters to be envious of their generations of talents. I like both modern contemporary and traditional fabrics and quilt designs. As I said, I enjoy just about every aspect of crafty ideas.
I read Urban Fantasy and Romance books. IMy favorite Urban fantasy writers are Patricia Briggs, Ilona Andrews, Kresley Cole, Nalini Singh, Karen Marie Moning, Kelley Armstrong, J.D. Ward and Gena Showalter.
For romance and paranormal writers I really love: Laura London, Diana Gabaldon, Jennifer Ashley, Linda Howard, Lisa Kleypas, Larissa Ione, Alexandra Ivy, Anna Campbell, Judith McNaught...
I'm constantly trying new authors since I belong to the book swapping site paperbackswap.com PBS has made trying new authors fun and easy since it is a credit system.
I adore fabric... Modern (ie Amy Butler, Denise Schmidt, etc ), Vintage, Patterns & Solids (Kona, Moda etc) of all colors. I pretty much like it all. I find myself especially drawn to small, spaced out prints, for example Heather Ross has many oop prints that feature tiny things. I adore Japanese import fabrics too. Since most of them are so unique! I visit Spoonflower a lot to see the beautiful things people create. I wish I could buy so many of them, but $18 a yd is just too $$$ to do that too often ;)
