Hi! I'm an artist and a lot of other things too. I like to create original work (particularly anything where I can paint, draw, or sculpt), I'm still rather new to this, and if for whatever reason something goes wrong with our swap please let me know and I'll do everything in my power to set it right. If something hasn't arrived, please please please let me know, and I'll send along something new to replace it!
Kill Bill, The Triplets of Belville, Amile, Labyrinth, Seven Samurai, Nightmare Before Christmas, Mononoke, Anything Miazaki, The Good The Bad and the Ugly, Pan's Labyrinth, Hellboy I & II, Dragonheart, Legend, Willow, Dark Crystal, anything by Mel Brooks
Anything and everything! Drawing, Painting, Sketching, Sewing, Charcoal, Oil Pastel, Chalk, Colored Pencil, Watercolor, Dolls, Beads, Ceramics, Jewelry Making, Polymer Clay, Writing, Journaling, Etching, Stamping, Origami, Collage, Decoupage, Recycling, Re-purposing, Digital Art, Papercraft, Hemp Jewelery, Bead Looming, and on...
Bones and metal, iconography and the media, rough textures, blatant symbolism, and a slant towards the surreal, I limit myself to no media or style. I'll try anything once if it seems like a good idea at the time. I've trained artistically in many different ways, but at the moment, I work primarily on my own. I never know what to expect out of my work, but I haven't been disappointed in the past. My influences are varied and far reaching, everything from the classics down to more modern inspirations. Where does it all come from? I don't know, but I hope you (yes, you whoever you are reading this) find the results satisfying, as I know I do.
I love an awful lot of things, and I'm very easy to please, but let's see if I can name a few things that interest me.
I adore fantasy of all kinds, but I'm especially partial to dragons, gryphons, and unicorns. I love old fairy tales and folk lore, mysticism, myths, and tales, talismans, and trinkets from cultures around the globe. My favorite colors are all of them, but I'm most partial to reds, greens, and purples. I love cats big and small, sharks, octopus, squids, jellies, most anything from the ocean, crows, ravens and other corvids, parrots and their allies (I have a darling pet Cockatiel myself), deep-sea creatures, insects (particularly large and colorful species). I love the bizarre and the wacky, and I'm very partial to unusual natural science, I have a heavy biological background, and I'm fond of nerd humor and bad puns. Anything that looks like it came from another time or place fascinates me, and things that look like they came from an archeological dig are wonderful (be it from Ancient Egypt or Rome, Pre-Christan Europe, China, Japan, India, South or North America, or from any time when dinosaurs ruled the earth). Speaking of, dinosaurs rock. Fall is my favorite season, and Halloween is my favorite holiday (and I'm very fond of Dia De Los Muertos too). Cirque Du Soliel makes me immensely happy, and as I do work in theater, most things about the stage, costuming, and design do to! Old cartoons are wonderful, the older and weirder the better, but I like more recent things too, I love animation. I love old Japanese (and Chinese... and American) monster movies, Kajiu things if you like, and any form of Yokai, ghosts, monsters, and ghouls. I know there's more but...
Whew... that's all I can think of for now!
Each work I create is hand-made specifically with you in mind. I like to read and carefully consider my partner's tastes. Please do not copy, trace, or sell the artwork I have made and sent to you.
Do feel free to trade, display, and collect my work, as that is the purpose of ATCs after all! I do however ask is that you do not remove my name or signature from works where that is applicable.
Please do enjoy my work, I just ask that you respect my creations. If you have any questions please feel free to ask, I am always open to private swaps, and more than happy to do so!
