I like to make collages, draw with pencil and ink, paint, and sew with felt. I've done a little beading and a little fimo sculpture.
"Light" music: MGMT, The Ruby Suns, folk, happy electronic
"Dark" music: Tom Waits, Robert Francis, Man Man, Leonard Cohen
In-between: Patrick Wolf, TV on the Radio
Most things that sound unusual and surprising on first listen.
INVISIBLE CITIES (it's beautiful and amazing), Anansi Boys (love mythology, especially about tricksters), Dirt: the Ecstatic Skin of the Earth (love the life of the planet), Good Omens (like British humor), Sirens of Titan (like good science fiction)
I'm in my mid-20's, entering school again soon and learning as much as I can in the meantime. I currently live with a Buddhist monk and have a growing appreciation for Buddhist art. I'm also a big fan of Day of the Dead art.
I love the fantastic and surreal. The Cheshire Cat, Terry Gilliam movies, and anything involving dreams for a small sample.
I have posters and decorations with birds on them all over my room, especially crows. I also like owls, frogs, trees, cats, earthy colors, and getting feathers to add to the hats I wear.
