I'm a newbie here on Swap-bot, but I've been trading mail art since...gosh probably 2008!! I have a huge binder full of ATCs and larger mail art adorns the walls of my room; art just makes me feel good!
Lilo and Stitch, Steven Universe, Hanazuki, Over the Garden Wall, 90s and early 00s cartoons, unicorns, llamas, sheep, goats, alpacas, possums, monsters, criptids (especially mothman), anthro/ furry art, art of my original characters, art of Your original characters, zentangle, mermaids, non-Easter bunnies, non-Halloween witches, modern witchy things, anything holographic, Bob Ross style landscapes, art of my cat or similar black fluffy kitties, creepy/ weird/ morbid anything, and a ton more, but that's all I can think of right now lol
Drawing - I draw pretty much every day! Most of my atcs start off in my sketch book and are cut out later.
Painting - Lately I've been playing with goache and following along with Bob Ross! I also do quite a bit of watercolor painting, and did some oil painting a few years ago; I'd love to pick that up again bit I don't have the room for an easel lol!
Knitting - This is my chilling out craft cause i can do it without having to pay much attention! I'm working on a patch blanket right now.
I also dabble in... Sewing, doll making, polymer clay, decoden, needle felting, jewelry making, fuse beads, pony bead keychains, embroidery, cross stitch, origami...I've done it all!
Inheritance Cycle (Eragon, Eldest, Brisingr, Inheritance) by Christopher Paolini - I have a devoted love for really good Y.A. fiction and this series is my favorite by far! The action is intense, the characters are deep and complex (the women especially!), and I've re-read the whole series more times than I'd like to admit~
Hyperbole and a Half by Allie Brosh - I read this book last year and thought it was just going to be an overall silly and irreverent collection of web comics...it turned out to be so much more; including a section about the authors battles with mental illness that resonated with me at a time when really....Really I needed it.
Invisible Monsters by Chuck Palahniuk - This book was just as invariably twisted as every other one of Palahniuk's works, but stands out by having a female protagonist (granted, one with no face - literally), and a lot to say about addiction, gender, and the ties that bind.
The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry - I probably listen to this book two or three times a year. I've never physically read it myself because being read to makes me feel child-like and I feel like that's an important part of the story. The Little Prince reminds me to follow my dreams no matter what anyone tells me, really listen to other people, and stay open to magic and mystery. I also draw sheep regularly...just in case anyone ever needs one.
Favorite Authors - Steven King, Dav Pilky, Jhonen Vasquez, Chuck Palahniuk, Libba Brey, Douglas Adams, Terry Pratchett, George Carlin
