Hi Everyone, I am excited to join swapbot. I became interested in ATC's a few years ago when a fellow art teacher shared this idea at an Art Teacher get together. I hosted an ATC making party with 9 local art teachers at my house and on a rainy summer day we spent many hours in my kitchen creating cards and chatting the day away. If you think creating cards by yourself is fun, try gathering friends for this sort of get together and see how the creative sparks fly!
I taught elementary art in my home town for 16 years, and last year taught Middle School Art. This year I am teaching High School art and have moved to a really nice art room. I am very excited! I also teach UConn Drawing, which is an Early College Experience class through UConn University here in Connecticut in the US. This is a great class where High School seniors take a college level drawing class and recieve both High School Credit and College credit. Fun class to teach!
Two years ago my elementary kids traded ATC's with two schools in Mexico, you should have felt the excitement in our building when the box of cards from Mexico arrived!
I hope you like my cards and I sure look forward to trading!
I am a person who wont' register for wedding gifts or shower gifts at stores online. It seems odd to me to pick out what I like and have someone buy that for me. No put down to my many friends who do that, it's just not for me. I would rather have surprizes that people really like themeselves and just are sure someone will love.
I love the unlimmited options that ATC's allow. I enjoy the variety of cards people make, and the unique ideas each represents. So, I won't say I like this or that, because sometimes let's face it, we don't know what we like till we see it! If you are looking here to see what I like, just think, "What do I like making when I design my cards....." and send that. I love the themes when they are subjects to swap as they ramp up creative thoughts to a high key, but again, if you are looking to create something I will enjoy, just use all the creativity you that you have and I will love it. I never trade the cards sent to me, I keep them all in a very special binder collection. Thanks to all who put a bit of themeselves in their cards, I try very hard to do the same! Here's to creativity to the max!

I just saw your name listed on a swap, and I just had to say hello. I have a cat named Izzy ( I did not name her, it was her name at the time of adoption), and we call her IzzyCat all the time!
Anyway I like the name! ;)
