Hello - I am excited about the Swap! I am already thinking of what I will send to my Swap Buddy .. it will be fun and I hope I can send very special mementos!
Favorite block to date - Addie or Coral; I love star blocks
Favorite colors - Red, Yellow, Orange also Blue Indigo & Greens - least liked are pinks, purples
Like most fabrics but do not care for many of the batiks though I am getting more familiar with them
I am an outdoors person; like mountains, ocean, & woods; I like to hike, kayak, fly-fish, golf, watch birds and travel
I like travel & other cultures and mementos of other people's countries; I've traveled extensively through the north & latin Americas and a few countries in Europe
I collect vintage things of fabrics, glass & metal; such as vintage linens and feed sacks, and vintage or vintage look Santa Claus figurines in iron or porcelain, I collect milk glass and ruby red glass items such as covered butter dishes
I like farm house old & vintage items because all of my grandparents were farmers
I love to cook, bake & can foods.
I speak & understand a small bit of Spanish.
I am married to a police/law enforcement professional and he just retired after 37 years of service
I have 3 grown children, 2 are married, and I have 8 grandchildren - 4 boys ages 9, 7, 6 & 4, and 4 girls ages 3, 3, 2 & 2 .. I never dreamed I would have so many darlings to love
I am now retired from my career as a business executive but I have a "business" called Sparrowsong Creations where I sew and craft items that are vintage style (tea towels, table runners, mug rugs, zipper pouches, tote bags, beach blankets/throws, pincushions, and so on) most items I make are sold through my daughter-in-law's boutique in Texas USA.
I was born in Wyoming, but raised in northern Arizona, I lived my early years near the Grand Canyon and I am definitely a "western cowgirl type"
