I teach Business studies part time at a local 6th form (16 to 17 year olds)
I now live on my own, but have three adult children, and 3 grand children.
I change to working part time last September which is giving me time for crafts, but some many ideas too little time!!
I like an eclectic mix of things; Colours mostly turquoise and blue, but also like bright rainbow colours, found Attic24 some months ago and love her colours, saving up to make a ripple blanket, have made the little stars to display on some twigs and bought a ring to make the Christmas wreath, not finished yet, perhaps it will be a summer one! Or next Christmas
NCIS is probably my favourite American TV, made my daughter an 'Abbie' crochet doll, once I transfer the picture I'll put it on this site.
Music, nothing too modern, Simply Red and maroon 5 are long term favourites but again I'll listen to most things
I have knitted and crochets for too many years
Since September 13 I've started patchwork and quilting, nearly finish 2 quilts, but still very new it it and its very basic, see so many ideas on the Internet and end up with to many pictures and to much choice that gets nothing done!
I think I have a variety of likes or perhaps I have few dislikes! I appreciate well made hand made things, I know the work that goes into them. Think I have an obsession with boxes, bags and purses, can a girl ever have enough. I like wearing scarfs and necklaces. I also have a sweet tooth for usually chocolate, depending on my mood it's eat as quick as possible milk chocolate or I savour some good dark chocolate.
Like hand creams and lip balms.
Also like things with butterflies and dragonflies on them.
I do like different and unusual things, don't like to be run of the mill, although I normally dress conservatively I do like to add little twists.
My current reading is the Elm Creek Quilt series, easy to read but 'nice' stories about women quilting, would love to find a place and support like that. I think I would like to make a quilt based on the squares in the books.
As I've said I don't have many dislikes, and although I love stationery I'm not into paper crafts so would not want paper or stickers.
Not into knick knacks, did collect at one time but never knew what to do with them.
