I work full time (may be laid off soon) but always wish I was crafting. I knit, sew, illustrate, take photos, draw/paint, bake, I love to spin and felt, and pretty much do any and all things crafty...
I'm a nature girl and love vintage funky finds and unusual things..
I love small things, since I was a kid I've always been drawn to small special little little things, knick Knacks and such...
I generally like all music, that is until I hear something that just doesn't jive. I'm not into twangy country but I like folk and bluegrass (go figure.) I like classical, jazz, blues and of course-ROCK! An that sums that up...from past to present and alternative. I'm a mix of genres.
Books??? Hmmm! I hate filling this stuff out, but i'm sure it will help in swaps, it helps me with YOU!
I like books, but I don't have a ton of time to read to many books for myself. I read a ton to my daughter (Edward Tulane, Harry Potter, Anne of Green Gables, Emily Winship)...For myself, I stick to quick reads, like bogs or magazine articles, hobby or informative books on knitting, sewing or a crafty type or design book, even a cookbook or two. I think I have read every yoga book out there. I also treasure all of my art books, including my photography and Andy Goldsworthy collection....
I love to watch movies....love love love them. With special attention to detail in art direction etc. I like Little Miss Sunshine and I love any Tim Burton Film ever made, and any musical score by Danny Elfman. Movies, hmmm I can't decide so I'll toss in Amelie, Wristcutters and ummm, Fight Club! That will keep you on your toes eh?
Oh boy! Wrong question to ask me! I love it all! Not a big scrapbook person althought I trail down the aisles at craft stores and do have a few stamps. Love to Sew with beautiful fabrics...Love knitting...and make anything I have time to make. I love felting and spinning and making my own art yarn and think ROVING is amazing! I'm known for "If I see it I can Make IT" which is great if you're a good friend with great taste and trap me in an expensive boutique...I also do photography, love pen & ink and watercolor illustrations...and building stuff outside in the moment- aka Andy Goldsworthy reference here! or with my daughter some fairy houses....
Can live without it, I like mysteries and CSI type shows (not the Miami one) I also like LA Ink...typically I'm doing something else while the TV is on so it may be a mindless watch or something crafty if I find it!! House is a fave or some H&G show, plus the food network can be fun!
I saw this on another profile, seemed to make sense so here we go...
I'm not a cat person (don't care for cats) and I don't like receiving part of your pet (fur) on anything, whatever it is.
I don't like to receive food or powdered beverages. It creeps me out if I don't know you and I just throw it away, sorry.
ALLERGY ALERT! If you send soaps or the like, please be sure they are lanolin free and hypoallergenic. I'm allergic to most of that scented stinky stuff as well as most animal products. AHHHCHOO!
Exception to Above-WOOL! I love to felt wool, Card Wool, Spin Wool...I get around any allergy I may have with it....I just can't wear it butuse it alot for gifts and other stuff,
I despise cigarette smoke. A lovely fresh outdoor scent is glorious.
I have allergies so I'm not nuts about things that collect lots of dust and may be fuzzy. I don't like itchy things either. Again, if I don't have to wear it, I like wool and roving etc...
I dislike Mints. like altoids and things, Love the tins though!
Hmmm...
I love all colors but usually stick with earth tones. I love deep cranberry reds and kermit greens (not necessarily together)
I like Buddha's and anything yoga or hindu related.
I love natural fibers and anything "green" as in enviro friendl or up cycled.
I love snowboarding, running, hiking, biking, rock climbing, yoga, and the like...
I love wool roving, beads and funky fabric
I love vintage things as well, depression glass, old photos, antiques (thematic vintage icons-butterflies, owls...)
I love handmade things....
And I LOVE Fresh LOvely NEW Art Supplies-YUM!
And I like these swaps, and hopr you put some lovely details and attention in yours to make all your swappers, givers or receivers feel special, even if you don't know who they are. I also like hearing from folks!
