Hi! Here I am - almost at the middle of a century, with one grown up daughter and one pre-school son, living in the North West of the England in a village in the Ribble Valley.

Pretty new to swaps, but loving ones I have taken part in outside swap-bot - but my daughter has got me wanting to join more!

I am self employed with 2 diferent jobs, one based at home, and the other as a diet consultant running local groups helping people lose weight after losing more than half my body weight myself.

Things I love.... first and formost - TEXTILES - I have a degree in contemporary textiles but I love vintage just as much, and love to 'rescue' old hand embroidered linen etc that someone put hours of work into - then I restore or re-cycle/upcycle or just add it to my collection - scraps are awesome! I also love visible mending, darning, boro, sashiko, patching etc.

Second, I have almost quit caffeine and sugar so I love fruit/herb/etc tea - so looking forward to joining some tea swaps - especially one from Europe "Caramel Apple Pie" flavour - but I am enjoying them all!

I love post cards and post crossing - it's such a lovely way to make small connections across the globe

I love photography - colour, black and white, landscape, portrait, close ups, anything!

I love and truly appreciate anything hand made - it's not all about the object but about the care, time and love that goes into it - so much more personal and treasured than store bought.

things I don't want..; Plastic, not always avoidable but if possible, please none...

Food items - especially if sent from overseas - doesn't always travel well, and my husband has quite a few intollerances and allergies.

Besides that (and I shall update as I learn) I am happy with anything that makes your soul sing, because it will make mine sing too.

I hope that gives you a good idea about me - but it's not all about me - I want to learn about you too!
