I am a country girl living in the city, if you can classify the capitol of North Dakota as a city! I grew up on a farm with a rodeo cowboy for a dad and a school marm for a mother, though she was a full time farm wife by the time I came along. Mom came from one of the Mayflower families so our roots run deep on that side. Mother tried to raise me as a lady, but it was an uphill battle! I still use placemats and proper table settings for every meal, love to garden, read and quilt/sew (of course!!) but I can rewire a house and change oil on the car should the need arise. I love to bake and cook and get a lot of inspiration for my quilts from my travels around the US, Canada and Europe. I have a deep appreciation of history and love cowboy antiques as well as beautiful shabby things from the last century. I have one beautiful grandson who lives with me full time. He's 2 and very serious about cars and trains.
