I'm a 21-year-old girl in the UK, and new to this whole swapping business! It's the sort of thing I've done with my RL friends before, but I'd never even thought about doing it online until I heard of this site! Wow, what a great idea! I'm studying Russian at university and I lived in Russia last year, and I love travelling generally - this summer I went to Australia and next I hope to go to the States. My passion is writing, I want to be a novelist or a screenwriter, so I just try to write anything and everything whenever I can. Apart from that, I love musical theatre - pretty much any musical you can name I will like. I like regular theatre, too, but I see more musicals than straight plays.

Any musical soundtracks! Also Jim Moray, Regina Spektor, Joanna Newsom, Toyah Wilcox, Rufus Wainwright, Suzi Quatro, The Cranberries, Catatonia, Ella Fitzgerald, Kate Bush, Guns n Roses... I'm very open when it comes to music so I'll listen to whatever people tell me to, and I usually like it!

I love dystopian literature, like Fahrenheit 451, 1984 and We. I also love Jane Eyre, A Clockwork Orange, and Tipping the Velvet. I love children's classics like The Little Princess, Anne of Green Gables, The Dark Is Rising... Terry Pratchett is one of my favourite writers, and I really like Tom Holt and Robert Rankin too. Also, I'm very interested in fairy tales of all kinds! I love poetry compilations because there's always something to suit your mood. My favourite poet is D.H. Lawrence but I'll give anything a try.

I love movie musicals like Mrs Henderson Presents, The King and I, The Sound of Music, The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas, Rent and the Rocky Horror Picture Show. Some of my favourite classic movies are The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie, Brief Encounter and The African Queen.
I love science fiction too, like Galaxy Quest, Serenity, Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure and Alien.

I'm pretty easy-going and I like almost anything as long as it's shiny or pretty or cool or interesting, which encompasses most things in the world... I really just love getting mail to open, so anything will make me happy! For the Dr Who swap - I love the classic series and the new series - my favourite companions are Sarah Jane, Romana, Leela and Tegan, and I love all of the Doctors!
