Hey there I thought I would start off by letting every1 know that I am currently residing with @jetleg who is my boyfriends mother, there for our address is the same to avoid confusion or suspicion we both though that this is a very important bit of info. @LINDA50 my to be aunt was able to get approval from Rachel so that I may happily start my swapping! Now back to me =) I recently moved to Tacoma from Idaho. I am enjoying life over here but I don't think I will ever get fully used to the culture difference. Oh how I miss all the rolling fields filled with cows and horses lol. But my new friends and family are keeping me plenty occupied with all sorts of crazy crafts, and just about anything else they can think of.
I enjoy doing lots of outdoor activities including trail riding, hiking etc. My sorta mother-in-law has got me really into beading, but lately I have been totally crazy about making dream catchers. Anyways theres a little bit about me.
Well being an Idaho girl it's probably not surprising that one of my favorite things to do in my spare time is go horseback riding. I was first introduced to horses when I was 11 and have been in love ever since. However it wasn't until I turned 18 that I had the pleasure of owning my own. Venestra was a 4yr old, stubborn Morgan mare, but I still loved her lol.
This last October I broke my pelvis bone and while I was down for those three weeks I came over to Tacoma to visit my sort of mother-in-law Jeanette whom some of you might also know as @Jetleg That's when she introduced me to the art of beading, which is now another one of my hobbies.
Since I've moved here to Tacoma I have started doing different crafts and my beading has kinda dwindled down to an occasional hobby.
Another person who has been a big help and a great mentor to me is @LINDA50 (Linda), @Jetleg s sister. She was actually nice enough to give me her old sewing machine, which I'll admit I have been too nervous to touch yet lol. I know that when I am ready, her and Jeanette will be right there with walking me though all the baby steps. Jeanette and I are actually starting to do some work with polymer clay right now, and hopefully some embroidery too. I am enjoying all the new things that these two are teaching me, and am ever so grateful for it. It can defiantly get very lonely being new to a city, but having stuff to do seems to help out a lot with the loneliness. Well now I am very excited to get started on swap-bot, I think it will be very nice to get to share some of my work with other people rather then just my self. =)
I pretty much love all colors. Of course with loving horses and western type stuff, turquoise and brown combinations are always fun.
Feathers
Stone beads
Any beads I can use on dream catchers
3d embellishments
My favorite craft right now is making Dream Catchers and beading. I enjoy altering cigar boxes and recently made a memory box for my 3 year old niece. I am also looking forward to playing with polymer clay beginning tomorrow.
Sewing will be next on my list, that sewing machine Linda gave me needs to get a work out sometime soon.
