Hi! My name's Lauren and I just recently moved back to my hometown after "braving it" in a big city for a few years. I'm lucky enough to have a job I love, even if it pushes me to the brink of insanity from time to time.
I love everything about crafting and I'm always working on something new. Martha Stewart is my role model and her magazine along with Real Simple are usually what you'll find cluttering my room. Im a freak about organization and everything having a container. I'm also the type of person who's guilty of organizing my closet and books by color. I'm a planner. I make lists, flow charts, calendars and any other form of time management/ life planning guides imaginable. I have a dream and a constantly changing layout all ready for the craft room that will one day occupy quite a bit of space in my house.
I love traveling and I really, really want to live in Greece some day.
I love, love, love Jane Austen, especially Pride and Prejudice. My most recent obsession is the world of YA books (particularly some of the paranormal romance... I know, I know). Some of my other favorites are The Great Gatsby and all of David Sedaris' books. I could make a huge list of books I enjoy but I'll just stop with these.
Pride and Prejudice, first and foremost. And, gasp, I am in fact talking about the newer one with Keira Knightly and Matthew Macfadyen. I can appreciate Collin Firth as Mister Darcy but its just not enough to make it my favorite of the two.
Any of the stop-motion movies such as The Nightmare Before Christmas, Coraline, The Corpse Bride, etc...
I truly love the movie Elf and it became a necessary component to bedtime my sophomore year in college. I also have a soft spot for Disney's Hercules and The Jungle Book.
Bees... any and all things bee/bee hive. Not wasps, not hornets, I'm talking yellow and black bumble bees. I even have a small bee tattoo on my foot.
I'm currently all about skulls and sugar skulls in particular.
I have an extremely weird fascination with squirrels.
The colors dark red and chartreuse. This has nothing to do with Christmas.
Anything that has my name or monogram on it (this is a big, big, big love of mine).
Ribbons (not sparkly, stiff or with wire) and Pearls.
Lists, Lists, Lists, Lists, Lists. I make them for everything. The most amazing gift I've ever gotten has been the set of Kate Spade notepads, The Short List and The Long List.
Stationary, notepads and note cards (but not if they have "Thank You" on them. I like to decide what my note card is for).
Crayola... Mostly crayons and markers, but the other things are just as wonder.
Really cute can koozies... but nothing with cheesy printed sayings on them.
Tea of all kinds.
All things glittery... I love sparkle!
Halloween.
Unique and fun pens (preferably fine line and black ink).
Stickers.
Pictures! I have hundreds of pictures... they are one of my most favorite things in the whole world.
Tie-Dye, cupcakes and mermaids.
Unique paper. I have a journal I made out of "found" scraps of paper (i.e. interesting envelopes, maps, and other neat things).
Greek Mythology and anything to do with Ancient Egypt.
Coffee.. coffee beans... coffee flavored things.
Snail Mail... there is nothing more fun than checking the mail and finding something fun to open.
Frogs... I'm terrified of them and they give me the heebie jeebies.
Anything watermelon flavored.
"Bling"... I didn't bedazzle anything when I was younger and I'm still not a fan.
Black Licorice.. gross.
The smell of Doritos... it makes me so sick.
Rose Art art supplies.
Anything gross or gory.
Pastel and most neon colors (except pink).
The basic color orange. I do like lighter and darker shades of it though.
Butterflies and Dolphins. I have nothing against the living forms, I'm just not a fan of them any other way.
Paisley, Plaid and Gingham.
The color gold... I'm more of a silver person.
I wouldn't send anything that I don't personally love and I hate waiting just as much as anyone, so I'll always try to be prompt when sending something. I'll let you know as soon as I mail it and if you haven't received it in a reasonable time please, please contact me. Also, if you're unhappy with something I've sent, again contact me and I'll do my best to fix things :)

Hey, I haven't gotten it yet but Canada Post can take a while sometimes and it also has to go through the university mail system for a couple days because I'm in res. I'll let you know as soon as I get it though!
Hey again!
I keep forgetting about Listography. :( http://listography.com/fizleglitz if you're interested.
I end up making most of my lists on Tomboy Notes, which are sticky notes for your desktop.
I am signed up for Evernote, but I haven't used it yet! Maybe I'll go there now.
Hello, Lauren - I'm stopping by your profile for the "Read My Profile and Leave a Nice Comment #2" swap.
I have something to go along with your weird fascination of squirrels. We live in the country and have all kinds of animals who stop by our place, some stay longer than others. We have NEVER had a squirrel. I think it's odd. My husband says it's because we don't have any nut trees. Go figure. Makes sense now!
I love Real Simple magazine. I could just get lost in that book forever, but I have too many other things to do, so I generally look at it at work, and dream...
I'm new to Swap-bot as well, so from one newbie to another - welcome and have fun swapping!

Hi Lauren! You're one of my partners for the "Read My Profile and Leave a Nice Comment #2!!" swap. And.. my name is Lauren too, so I love your name!
I also like Twilight.. it really ended up being better than I thought it would be. :) I love Ocean's 11.. and the other ones. It's definitely one of my top movies.
Squirrels are so cool! Of course you have a fascination with them, who wouldn't? Pch! I'm not German, but I went to Germany in high school and about the only thing I learned how to say the entire time was the word squirrel, which is... Eichhoernchen or Eichhörnchen (you can interchange the o with the umlaut for 'oe' in German). I'm from PA (live in Maryland right now) and there are mostly gray squirrels there.. so when I tried to explain what squirrels were to my German host family, they were really confused - they're mostly all brown/red there, and a little weird looking! lol
I have a sad obsession with lists. Are you on Listography?? ..also, obsessed with stationery, notecards/paper too.
Fine line are the best pens. I have Stabilo and Staedtler ones, huge packs.
I think it's really interesting that you are into Greek mythology and ancient Egypt! I don't know too much about them. (But, here's where I announce my slight nerd side.. I got more interesting in them thanks to the tv show Stargate Sg-1, if you've seen it..)
I could definitely pass on butterflies and dolphins.. why does every single woman seem to want a tattoo of them?!
I agree with you on black licorice, and I'm also a silver person, over gold. But, I do like a brassy/antiquish sort of gold.
Hope you have an awesome day!
