I love contemporary Christian music. I also like the type of music that is beautiful background music. Something you can do yoga or tai chi to. Dean Evenson is a favorite.
Christian fiction is mostly on my bookshelf. DiAnna Mills, Janice Hanna Thompson, Brandilyn Collins, and Karen Kingsbury are my favorites. Of the Bible translations, The Message is my favorite. It really speaks to where I am now and I can really relate to it.
My all-time favorite movie is SOMEWHERE IN TIME. The idea that someone could love you so much that they would go to such extreme lengths is soooo romantic. The music is beautiful and so is the setting. I also enjoy the Christian Films that are coming out now. I want to see them in the theater to tell Hollywood with my dollars that there is a market for that type of film.
I have done quite a few different crafts. Crocheting prayer shawls, baby blankets, and charity rectangles are on my agenda now. I love to make quilts for my family and others. I receive the most pleasure when I use my talents for others. My favorite colors are the bright, primary colors. But my most favorite is RED! I am enjoying Zentangle and hope to become certified in the Fall as a teacher.
As you can tell, my favorite place is Mackinac Island, Michigan. That has got to be God's country. Transportation there is only by walking, riding bicycles, or horseback. I particularly like it in the Fall when most of the "fudgies" (tourists) are gone.
I am also Queen of the Goddesses of Delaware County, Red Hat Society. My family is most important to me after God. I enjoy spending time with them where ever they may be. My husband finds fulfillment in traveling to Africa each year with our church to work with the aids orphans. I stay home and pray for him.
I really hate to impede someone's creativity by saying what I don't like. But if someone is going to the effort of swapping, I guess I should give some guidelines of what I would not like to receive: Anything that smells of smoke, Gore, Vampires, Violence, Chocolate (I'm very picky), Tea (My tastes are limited)

I got your great zentangle! Thank you! It is so well-drawn and fit great! :)))
I will keep it as a puzzle until everyone has a turn doing it, then I will glue it!!
I left you a message about the Island. Let me know if you got it!
Hi there. I am Katelan and I am your partner in the read my profile and write a comment swap. I love your username. I've always wanted to visit Michigan, and Mackinac Island sounds very nice from the way you have described it. Maybe I will have to visit one day :) I also see that you are trying to teach in the fall. Anything specific that you are hoping to teach? Anyway, I hope you have a wonderful day!
I gotta ask how did you come up with that user name? very easy to remember i must say!! i do hope you will add a list of your favorites, like 4 or so-- easy to read, when you are glossing over paragraphs and to the point for a random envie swap you may soon join- =]

Thank you for your kind words! I have to say, I appreciate the fact that you stay home and Pray when your husband goes on a Mission trip. My father was in the Men for Missions and our mother did the same. How beautiful is that? It is so good to meet other Christian women on here and the next time you are in Greensboro, let me know and maybe we can meet up. Have a wonderful, blessed day!
SWAP: Read my profile and comment. Hi! My name is Cassie. Nice to meet you. I am fairly new to swapping and I can not wait till I have time to learn some of the more crafty ways to swap. Good luck in all your swapping. Have a wonderful day <3
Hi Barbara, A fellow Hoosier in North Manchester. What I love about Muncie is the kiteflying (Ansel Tony Awards, etc.) and the museum there. I haven't spent a lot of time there, but lived in Marion for awhile and also remember there was a good Thai restaurant in town. It was pretty new then. I also liked the movie Somewhere in Time. So romantic. I have yet to visit Mackinac, but would definitely love to do so. Some friends have a place up there, so I'll get there one of these days! Hope we run into each other on other swaps. Lisa
You are too sweet. I am not very artistic at all, and the card was so simple. We used to get together with other homeschooled kids and make valentines, then we went to the Veteran's home 30 miles away and handed out what we'd made. The gum one was a big hit with them. Have you heard of http://www.fiverr.com/users/momofemmett? It's cool. The question is: What would you do for $5? I will write a short book for 3-4 year olds with their name and 'stuff' mentioned for $5! Thanks for the rating...
