10/26/2020 - I'm back from helping out a relative during an emergency, and I'm working through a pile of ratings! Following up on some swaps I sent out while in rural Oregon, let me know if you didn't get something and I'll resend ASAP.
Hello! I'm Mary Sue (pronouns she/her)
I love to read fiction, I mostly read in science fiction and fantasy, as well as romance. When I read nonfiction, I read history and social science.
I am a huge sports fan, I love baseball and soccer, and follow the local Portland Thorns women's professional soccer team. I travel as often as I can to cities to watch my teams play, and I went to the World Cup 2015 in Canada and 2019 in France. Now planning 2023 in Australia and New Zealand!
Some of my other hobbies include traveling, handwritten letters and post cards to my pen pals, crochet, and metalsmithing.
I live alone, with a cat. The cat's hobbies are sleeping and dreaming about chasing the birds.
I love bridge postcards, city view postcards, multi-view cards, I love industrial and architectural cards, as well as vintage ones (especially if you write a memory attached to the place or image on the card). If you have free/advertising postcards from the 50s-60s-70s, I LOVE those! Get them out of your collection and send them on an adventure to me!
I appreciate handmade art. I am a big fan of cryptids and skeletons and silly spooky things, think more Disney's Haunted Mansion than, say, Nightmare on Elm Street. Spooky mail is part of my happy mail! I celebrate Halloween, Pride month, and Buddhist holidays.
I am queer as heckies and my favorite color is GLITTER. Currently I bear seven tattoos- two bridges, one botanical, one Walt Disney quote, and three symbols of resistance and rebellion from comic books.
Note: I have severe food allergies so while the thought is appreciated, I cannot accept any consumables, tea, or bath/body items. My sobriety date is March 18, 2019.
If you've got me in a card/letter swap and you're stumped what to write me, here's what I always like hearing about, in no particular order:
I take a daily walk past my local post office, so I check 'send' when I get back from there. This includes Sundays and holidays.
I take photos of everything I send, so if you can't read my writing I can send you a typed transcript if you ask.
I will also resend. If items don't arrive in a week or three, let me know!

So many to choose from: Nova Twins, Bloodywood, Neil Diamond, Lizzo, Noname, Timmy Trumpet, Lil Nas X, A Tribe Called Red... I could keep going forever.

Thank you so much for the Birthday card! It meant a lot and all the extra goodies! Thank you, Thank you!
Take your time. I'm in no rush.
Hmmmm. You seem vaguely familiar . . . JK. Hey, Mary Sue! It's Suzanne G. from SS! I had no idea you were on here, too. Hoping all is well. Have a great day, my friend.
Glad you liked the Space envelope book! It was fun to make. There are some of the papers tucked into one of the pockets too. (Hope they didn't fade into the background.)
Thanks for participating in Cryptid Profile Deco #01 ~ Here is a cute little mothman in a flower crown for ya!
Hello! Here's my favorite local cryptid, Sasquatch, for Cryptid Profile Deco #01 ~. Do you think this video is real?? :D
