Hobbyist. Occasional nail enthusiast who thinks she games way too much, yet not enough. New mom to Tofu the Siamese cross. Thinks Daiso is a wonderful budget store. Crochet beginner.
Likes include gaming, reading (novels, light novels, manga, magazines, newspaper, fiction/non fiction - I pretty much read anything), watching shows (English/Korean dramas, Korean/Japanese variety shows, Japanese anime), listening to K-pop, sports (used to play badminton + netball, trying out new activities like yoga, pilates, piloxing, cycling recently)
I came from a background of English and Chinese songs (some oldies) and I like Japanese songs too. Unfortunately my Japanese songs library consist mainly of anime songs lol.
Currently I listen to K-pop a lot. I can't really understand it but I like them. :) My favourite group is Big Bang, but I generally like anyone from YG entertainment. My favourite ballad duet is Davachi. I don't have any particular favourite for solo singers, but I like Baek Ji Young and Ailee a lot too. :)
I really got into making things recently, I first started out with air dry clay but I switch to polymer clay as I wanted more control over details.
Then the local art store had a sale and I went and bought my first Copic marker set and my collection slowly grew to include gel pens (I used to have them when I was younger too), fine line markers, fine colour pens, Sharpies (they don't come cheap here, colours are limited too) and Tombow watercolour markers. I started my first Hobonichi planner adventure this year, so I'm finally using all my pens, markers and washi tape! :D Now that I have more Sharpie colours I can go back to making shrink plastic. I also have some resin and related supplies laying around waiting for me to get started lol.
I also like nail art and pretty nails in general. (I have a lot of nail polishes and related supplies lol) As you can see I have lots of interest so there isn't always enough time to do all or even any of them. I try my best to update my Hobonichi frequently though, so that I can use all my pen supplies :)
Update on 9 March: Recently I've been trying my hands on brush calligraphy. It's not really anything yet but I hope to someday move to 'real' (dip pen) calligraphy :)
I'm also getting into carving my own rubber stamps, it has always been something I wanted to do and now I finally have the chance to do it.
I don't have any specific requests or preference when it comes to swaps, just send me something that you think it's nice~ :)
I welcome any messages just to chat about common interests or hobbies~
