Anne Lamott is a favorite author, also Joyce Carol Oates and Wally Lamb. I loved The Other Boleyn Girl - could not put it down. And I highly recommend Savage Beauty, The Life of Edna St. Vincent Millay, by Nancy Milford for a wonderful read.

I'll listen to pretty much anything by Bob Dylan, and not just because he's a Minnesotan, like me. heehee. I also love PJ Harvey and Beth Orton, Johnny Cash and Miles Davis.
