I am a wife of two years, and a step mom to two wonderful kiddos - one 9 years old, and one about to be 8 years old.
I love being outside, which a stark contrast to my office job - although I have to admit my office job isn't bad as I get to do a lot of personal things as long as my work is done.
I am addicted to caffeine, and cannot start my day without at least 2 cups of coffee, or an energy drink. I used to own a coffee shop at one point, and I'm picky about my caffeine. If I skip it, I get bad bad headaches.
I love to cook and make stuff, and I think I'm fairly decent at what I do enjoy doing. I enter my baked goods and crafts in the county fair every year, and usually win at least something.
When I'm not working, I'm usually making stuff and listening to podcasts, taking care of my menagerie of animals, or gardening.
My husband and I are getting ready to move to a small farm in the country, and I have a minor obsession with goats and chickens. I can't wait to decorate my new kitchen in florals and blue and yellow. Sunflowers and blue gingham are my themes, and it will be so great to finally have my own home.
I am a domestic abuse survivor with C-PTSD and I battle chronic illness. I keep going though, and take pride in the things I can do well, and give myself all the chances in the world because I will never be perfect.
I like everything from old 1920s blues to modern day hip hop, except for classical - which I can't stand unless there is a LOT of Cello. I love listening to country music when my husband isn't around (he can't stand it), and heavy metal when I work out.
If it has pages and covers, there is a 99% chance I will read it. I love American Gods and Ready Player One. That aid, I was a history major at once point in my life and I love books on history (any time period!) and love talking about stupid factoids regarding historical stuff.
I do a little bit of everything when it comes to crafting. I have been knitting for over 15 years and I love making stuff for use around my home - throw pillows, dishrags, potholders etc. I have recently been on a cross stitch kick, and I love making wall art in the form of embroidery and cross stitched things. I also do crochet (mostly stuffed animals), tatting (to a very small extent, mainly to make jewelry), and sewing (I make a lot of my own clothes).
I LOVE animals. Currently I have the following menagerie: Sally: a 13 year old Pitbull/German Shepherd mix who has recently started slowing way down. Was my Husband's dog long before we met, and she is very attached to him. Does not spend a lot of time with me. She used to be a guard dog, but has since retired.
Bobo: a 4 month old Black Lab puppy, who annoys the ever living crap out of sally. This is my dog, and he is my very good boy. He likes lamb and duck treats and stuffed animals.
Sissy: a 4 year old Calico cat with the world's biggest attitude towards anyone who is not my husband. Definitely my husband's baby. Does not like catnip.
RumTum Tugger: A 3 year old Maine Coone mix who showed up on our door step one day. My other baby, He spends most of his time on my lap when I'm not at work. Will explode catnip toys and then lay there, too stoned to move.
Izzy: A 10 year old Ball Python that we adopted. She was used exclusively to breed, and now she just chills inside all day. She is the cutest danger noodle ever, but also half blind and kind of a derp. My daughter is very attached to this baby even though she is afraid of puppies and kittens.
Flarey: My son's twin tail Betta. Not much to say, He's a fish. He has a pokeball in his bowl. Likes to sleep on his side or upside down and scare the crap out of me.
