My name is Roxanne. Im 50 years old and live with my significant other in San Antonio, TX. I was born and raised here and im proud to be a Texan of Mexican American heritage. I lived for about 5 years in the Dallas area and have traveled to many places in the U.S. and plan to travel to many more abroad and in the states. I work in logistics and have been in the industry for 27 years. I live with my boyfriend and younger sister. I don't have any children or pets at this time.
Harry Potter series, Lord of the Rings, the Hobbit, the Count of Monte Cristo, Frequency,
I love decorating my planners, working in my art journals, hoping to start a type of memory keeping this year similar to project life, Postcrossing, keeping a decorated but functional travelers notebook. My Faves are the leather ones from Chic Sparrow in B6 size.
I used to do a lot of reading but not as much anymore. Im trying to get back to it so i renewed my library card! It feels so wierd to be back at the library but for me its better. I read a lot of different types of books and not all are worth a spot on the shelf when im done so borrowing is better than buying. Im currently reading "Im traveling alone" by Samuel Bjork that's looking to be e European mystery novel. I used to read thrillers from Patricia Cornwell, James Patterson, Jefferey Deaver and similar type books. I also like true stories like "Wild" by Cheryl Strayed, "Into the Wild" and "Into Thin Air" by Jon Krakauer, "Educated" by Tara Westover, and "Into the Woods" by Bill Bryson (saw the movie too--cute/funny). I would also like to read Game of Thrones and the Harry Potter series. My boyfriend has been reading John Le Carre novels and he's been telling me about them. We've watched several of the books made into movies and they were very good. I like so many types of books including true crime, autobiography, horror...truthfully I'll read almost anything if it looks interesting enough to me. My bf calls me a book slut...ill curl up with almost any type except ironically enough a romance novel, don't like them at all.
There are so many shows we've been watching, The Crown, Peaky Blinders, Dracula, GOT, TWD (but I'm behind on it), Ray Donovan, Game of Thrones, Poldark, Bosch, Big Bang Theory
Things I love: ABSOLUTE FAVES: Wooden cutting boards of all shapes and sizes and of different types of wood, Liechturns, Hobinichis, leather travelers notebooks and any journals without the blue paper lines. I love crossword books too. Also chipboard albums, project life albums and any other handmade journals or mini albums except in Vintage themes. I don't care for vintage items. I love beads and baubles for jewelry making and different tools for making them. Other things I love: Hot cocoa instead of tea, but for tea I love berry and fruit flavors but ill try anything. Fine Sharpies in different colors, alphabet stickers and thickers, gel pens, postage stamps, candy or snacks from different places, postcards, note card sets, letter and envelope sets, Micron pens, bookmarks, magnets, keychains, Bath and Body small hand sanitizers and lotions, Burts Bees cuticle cream and lip balm from different brands, socks, handmade soaps, wooden kitchen spoons and cute mini spatulas/utensils, recipes, 4 or 5 inch stickers with pretty faces for my art journal covers, seasonal card sets, wax seal kits, seasonal craft paper and embellishments, hair ties, double-sided tape, small kitchen gadgets and loads more. Also we are new to camping and geocaching and I would enjoy anything I could use for those hobbies as well. There are a great deal of things I love and don't have room to list and im sure i will love anything you send in a swap but if you are stumped for something to send then I hope this helps.
Things I don't love: ads or ad-like items, vintage paper or ephemera
Well I'm an 80's kid so I love 80's country and dance music but I also like some from earlier decades. I like some of the music I've heard on the radio now but honestly I don't listen to much of the radio. I usually listen to different things I find of interest on YouTube when I'm driving.
Beauty Swaps Facial skincare: Skincare is my number one priority. I mostly use anything that provides an intense hydration for my dry sensitive skin. I don't like to use products with a strong fragrance on my face (fragrance-free preferably). Here is a short list of products that I use in my day/night skincare routine:
facial moisturizers for dry skin/anti-againg, Cream cleansers, Cleansing oils, serums for hydration or anti-aging, toners, essences, eye creams, sheet masks & peel of masks, facial mists, and Lip scrubs.
make-up: I dont wear a full face of makeup everyday but I love cosmetics from every group. What I mean by that is when I do I wear it all. I use everything in between from facials mists/primers to lipliner/lipstick. I love blushes, bronzer, highlighters, contouring items, eyeshadow palettes and everything! I'm more of a "warm" or "summer" complexion.
I use brow dips in light to med brown or blondish brown, mascara in blacLiquid liners in black, Eyeliner/eyeshadow smudge sticks in assorted colors, foundation powder in light to medium, Bronzers in light, Highlighters in almost any color, Blushes in light peachy/coral and light pinks, Eye shadow in nudes, mauve/purples, silver/dark blues, liquid lipsticks in nudes, light pinks, light corals and dark red w/blue undertones same for lipliners, lip balms, nail polishes, make up brushes of any kind, and Cosmetic bags of all sizes.
Skincare: Body washes and lotions that are hydrating but not heavily scented. I prefer almonds, shea butter, vanilla and similar light fragrances.
Foot and body scrubs in all scents especially beachy, Foot lotions, Hand scrubs & lotions, and Cuticle creams.

Oh my, I’ve just opened my August Stocking Stuffer and had to say thanks. The diminutive deck of Tarot cards is much loved and appreciated. Thanks ever so much for such a great gift!!
Roxanne,
I wanted to thank you for sending back my Traveling notebook I am currently trying to figure out to get back other people's books to them also because there haven't been any recent swaps of these. And love how you did the back cover and the inside of the cover also :) Thank you again.
