Hello!

My name is Sara, I am 25 years old and live with my lab and two budgies. I'm not horribly fond of sitting still and love to try new things. If I'm not at work (or spending time at home) I can be found working with the local Red Cross chapter, officiating a local roller derby game for Dallas Derby Devils, or working Tech for the incomparable Los Bastardos. I also work as volunteer coordinator for a local convention - All-Con!

It keeps me busy but I'm having so much fun I wouldn't have it any other way.

I'm also a voracious reader. Right now I've been devouring memoirs left and right. Astronaut memoirs are my favourite though. If you have any good recommendations I would love to hear them!

I graduated from Texas State University with a degree in International Relations and have since found a rewarding career in finance! Sometimes I get a little over excited and find myself explaining things that people don't actually care about (sorry).

A lot of my job involves sitting at a computer and pouring over numbers so to keep myself stimulated I started listing to podcasts. My favourite are; Stuff You Missed in History Class, Serial, and No Such Thing As A Fish. I've also just recently started listing to Night Vale!

I collect both rubber duckies and tea cups and love getting letters. I love hearing about the mundane things that go one in everyone's life. The big life events are fun but there's comfort to be found in people discussing things they do on a nearly daily basis.

I am an avid tea drinker. English Breakfast is my favourite but I'm always game to try new blends.

When it comes to music I am all over the place. For example this morning I was listing to metal and now I'm listening to Disco.

I don't understand it either.

I love to can things and knit! Though when it comes to knitting really the only thing I can knit is hats. As for canning Jam is my favourites but I'm wanting to learn more about canning veggies!
