I am married to an AMAZING fireman and was blessed with a beautiful son. I have a Bullmastiff who thinks she runs the house! I am fortunate enough to be a stay-at-home mom, so I get to be VERY involved in my son's school. Right now that is where I spend most of my time. I have been scrapbooking off and on for 6 years. Now that my son is in school I have more time to dedicate to crafts! I just bought a Cricut Create and am so excited to start creating!
Right now it seems like all I have time for is Dr. Seuss! Outside of that I really love any and all books. I love Mary Higgins Clark, Wally Lamb, anything vintage,I REALLY like vintage Good Housekeeping(etc) magazines, Lydia Maria Child(1800's homemaking/motherhood), COOKBOOKS!!!
Splendor In The Grass(I adore Natalie Wood), Rear Window, The Polar Express, Star Wars, romantic comedies, tear jerkers, horror...I like most all of them!!!
I have very eclectic taste in music. My playlist right now has inspirational, alternative, country, pop, classical, gospel, broadway, rock and blues songs!!! Again, I like most all of them - oh yeah - CHRISTMAS music!!!
I sheepishly admit that I like Gossip Girl...Grey's Anatomy, My Name Is Earl, Barefoot Contessa, anything with Nigella Lawson(love her), Project Runway, Cash Cab, The Deadliest Catch!
Scrapbooking, Card/Invitation making, Photography, painting- watercolor and acrylic, simple sewing, Christmas crafts, pretty much anything artsy!
I am obsessed embellishments, I especially like repurposing items for scrapping. I am a make-up junkie - before I got married I was a Clinique girl and I still have the bug, I have more filled makeup totes than I will EVER admit to! I collect Christopher Radko ornaments, specifically fire department and 9-11 related. I also collect Dept 56, the Christmas in the City series. I also collect unique cake plates, vintage aprons(1950's)and linens, and large crosses(6" or bigger).
Vintage Christmas cards/postcards, vintage ads and magazines. Embelishments with moveable parts. Unique brads, Anything metal, Whimsical ribbons. Doves, whales, bald eagles, blue herons. I like homemade pieces and store bought items - they all have their own appeal!
My newest obsession is stamping - what was I so scared of??? I prefer clear stamps. Any size, any shape or words! Ink Pads - any color, any size, any brand! Watercolor pencils, watercolor brushes - prefer round tip with white bristles. Glitter or Stickles, any color. My favorite adhesives are Martha Stewart gel adhesive dobber and glue writing pen, but by no means is that all I use. Stickers - I love them all, except for teacher stickers of course! I am on a constant quest for Doves, Whales and Bald Eagles. Other than that I am open to anything! Ribbons and fibers - all colors, all widths - I like stripes and polka dots. I haven't tried heat embossing yet, but I would really like to, so any supplies for that would be great! There really isn't anything I don't like! Vintage to modern and everything in between, they all catch my eye! Mostly I am interested in receiving new things that I haven't seen or wouldn't think to use, maybe I will develop some new favorites! As long as you are sending me something you would use yourself it's likely to be a hit with me!
Right now, and for the rest of the school year, I am working on scrapbooks for each child in my son's kindergarten class - 18!!! So as you can imagine that is going to take lots of time and supplies. So anything you would like to send me to help with that (school theme and all the major holidays, plastic protective sheets, adhesive, etc) would mean the world to me, as well as the children/families that will be receiving the books!
