Wait, What happened? I musta been sucked into a vortex and lost. Sarcastic father of three cannibals who are making soup of me starting at the feet and working their way up: Painter, designer, Lovelywife lover, dreamer, nose-picker, traffic violator, pez is the new crack cocaine, shut up I like Star Wars Figures and comics, do you really think i'm pretty.
I like to draw and paint and sculpt and photo and carve and sew and string things together. I use whatever is on hand in the moment to do so, but I tend to gravitate toward acrylic, pencils and spray paint. Gauche is the most horrible smelling stuff ever and i refuse to use it, unless in dire straits. There are boxes and boxes of art supplies in my studio since i run an art camp during school vacations. Great stuff like carving tools and brays, plaster caster and oil crayons.
I'm not big on cutsie stuff. It's a great space to visit, but i wouldn't want to dwell there. I can draw it for my kids but would rather draw a big lizard eating a tree or goblins with raptors. They like those too.
I like the public library, except for the crazy dude in the back of the 2nd floor who camps out all day, with bottles of energy drink and coffee, and freaks out if you by chance take a phone call in the corner behind the stacks. Please keep up on that lithium prescription.
Oh, and my mother.....I like her too.
I did WITR College Radio 1991-93. I did a midnight to 6am slot that was filled with Industrial, 4AD and Downtempo. Like the seasons, I rotate genres: Summer is punk/emo, Fall is electronic/hiphop, Winter gits me all choked up with festive renditions of the classics by post punk and indie rockers and Spring is the time for rebirth of noise and Jazz.
I fixate and read entire collections written by an author. I've done all Anne Rice vampire, witch and mummy books. Tolkien's entire collection. But mostly i read magazines and try to stay current on trends so that i can dress the part I play on TV.
I like to sew big things. Blankets, critters, sock monsters. I have boxes of finely cut out magazine clippings that litter my paintings....big paintings in gallery size. Glass beads, dammit. My kids are constantly stealing my stash of glass beads for their own projects. but i make a mean necklace when i find some doozy beads.
I like to ride my bikes. All of them have a certain occasion to fill and I try to create other occasions so that i can find a new bike, fix it up and add it to my collection. my current roster is 7. I recently added a tandem to the collection. It's a classic Schwinn Twin that has been frankenstien'd with MTB parts. I paid $300 for it and couldn't be happier. I will be adding some nice peace sign brake hangers that i've had for years for that special touch. Love dem bikes.
I like the folks who are happy to oblige newbies and people with a bit of tarnish on their records. No one is perfect and those swappers that are, need to do something more with their life than dwell in their little world of receiving things from people who are symbiotic. Step out of your box, take a step back from self medicating and feel the vibe kiddos. FRESH AIR RULES!!
And WOW!!! Blacklists huh? people who drop the ball are on the shitelist for some people. Understandable, if you really need to feel empowered. But take this into account. Maybe those people who have jilted you out of 1 piece of precious mail have experienced some major setback making a swap, heaven forbid, secondary. I know, it could be a stoning offense. But really, maybe they just looked at your profile and found you to be too F@ckin gone. Think about that for a second. You might be just too much of an emotional risk to send a piece of mail to. Not to point fingers but, I've received some doozies. Not everybody wants to be your friend if they send you a piece of "prompted" mail. They just may be like me and interested to find out what they will get or to know that there are people out there willing to take the time and exchange a moment from their day (and that's nice. I appreciate the efforts, believe you me...my days are brightened by a piece of mail that isn't spam and actually directed my way by an actual living/cognitive entity).

Love your profile and look forward to seeing your art and I am not being sarcastic just real.
Have to say that I like your profile and your new zine swap idea too. I was and am a bit turned off by swap bot because of the cutesy factor and the rating system. But, I've been having fun experimenting and making things. Need to think about your zine swap. I'm going to be swamped with school but welcome the opportunity to turn some of the more thought provoking reading into a more visual form.
Nice profile, some swappers are insane in the most boring of ways.
Hello friend! I started a matchbox group called matchbox & more and I was hoping since you like to make matchboxes that you'd be interested in joining? I'd love to have you as a member! :)
Hey Swirl, I received the bonus Cemetery Photo PC you made me. Thank you! That was so cool! I loved all the little extras you put on it too. I love it! Thanks again. =)
