I'll listen to just about anything but am particularly fond of goth, '80's, industrial, EBM and darkwave. Some bands that I adore include The Cure, The Cruxshadows, Covenant, Apoptygma Berzerk, Front 242, and, for some variety, The Gaslight Anthem, Frank Black and the Catholics, Rise Against and Papa Roach. I've also been known to blast Adele when in a bad mood. ;)

My all time favorite is the Kushiel series by Jaqueline Carey. Otherwise? Anything fantasy, sci fi, or otherwise interesting. I'll read just about anything but romance (unless it's got something unique about it). I'm hooked on high fantasy and medieval/Renaissance intrigue.

I knit, crochet, write, bind books, sew and do just a little bit of everything but scrapbook, truth be told. Although I'm looking to start art journaling in 2014, so any little bits and bobs or hints and tips to start that would be lovely! I'm also getting into paracord jewelry, so any bits of rope, paracord or buckles, bobs and bits for that are great!

I'm a sucker for anything dark and dramatic. Or completely absurd and hilarious. Old movies are great, too. Actually, anything but slapstick "stupid is funny" type movies (think Will Ferrell - sorry Will!) type movies. My favorites of all time? High Plains Drifter, Last of the Mohicans and Dances with Wolves.

Law and Order: SVU, Mad Men, Orange is the New Black, Supernatural, anything by Investigation Discovery, How I Met Your Mother, American Horror Story, The Walking Dead, Judging Amy, Third Watch, The Simpsons. The Borgias, the Tudors.

I have been a professional writer since 2006, with my work appearing on various websites including Livestrong.com, TypeF.com, Salon.com, Dogster.com and The Daily Puppy. A Jill-of-All-Trades, I split my workday as a writer, humane society advocate and on-call vet tech. What little free time I have goes into pinup modeling, advocating for self-acceptance, knitting and trying to maintain my haunted house (really!).

I am allergic to shrimp, hemp and ibuprofen.

I have cats and dogs in the house (and an outdoor smoker). Although I try to make sure no animal hair gets on things, sometimes it's unavoidable. Please consider it an extra little gift, and if you're allergic and are partnered with me, please let me know so I can be extra vigilant about crafting in an animal-free environment.

I'm swapping for my husband. He's a guitar player, a BIG Dr. Who fan, a music lover. He's also a fan of Dragon Ball Z and House (the TV show).

He dislikes peach and coconut flavors. Not a big chocolate eater, and doesn't like tea, though does drink coffee sometimes. He loves Diet Coke. Not a big fan of scents or body products. Always looking for new socks. He works a job where he dresses up, so things like ties are always welcome.
