My favorite craft is counted cross stitch, I love it but due to vision loss I am very slow and hardly ever get things finished. I stitch just about anything that takes my fancy at that time, I am doing a bit of Just Nan patterns now. What I do not like is the teddy bears, pooh, and others. everything bear themed is a no no . I also knit a lot, making some shawls at the moment. I want to get some mittens knitted up before winter. It gets cold in Iceland. I do dabble in crochet also, enjoy it but need to practice much more ;) Patchwork I am in love with and have done some projects, my home it to cluttered for me to have my sewing machine always available so I do this seldom. I really need to get a craft room organized as soon as my twins fly the coop.
I forgot to tell you about me, doing crafts is a passion of mine. I was born in 1963, have a pair of twins (boy and girl, born in 1996) and a boy born in 2000. We live in Isafjordur, on the north west coast of Iceland. My partner since 1991 is a fisherman and away lots of the time. I work part time in an office doing the bookkeeping, love my job so much. I am disabled due to vision loss after a burst anneurism in my head in 1992. I am a lucky survivor.
There is so much out there of wonderful music. I listen to most kinds. I love Bon Jovi, and a mix of just about everything, no special performer. I enjoy Icelandic music, ethnic music, opera, the Eurovision Song Contest is a passion of mine.
I do read alot, I was given a Kindle for my 50th birthday and I carry it with me wherever I go. I enjoy mysteries, the paranormal comedies, romantic comedies. My favorite authors are: James Patterson, Agatha Christie, Stephanie Bond and some Icelandic authors. I must not forget Mary Higgins-Clark, she is a great writer.
I watch much Television, I watch the news every day, then I love The Big Bang Theory, Mike and Molly, The Nightshift, Chicago Med, Greys Anatomy, Rizzoli and Isles, Bones, Criminal Minds, Grand Designs, and so many more.
I do not go to the movies much, with limited vision I can not sit anywhere and the noise is to much for me. But I do enjoy some James Bond.
