I love shabby chic, cottage, vintage, retro, and yard sales. I like to sew, craft, and take pictures. I watch lots of movies and read tons of books. I love pink things, tattered and worn things-things that have had a previous life. I like things that are useful. I like things that are useless but beautiful. My 'degree' is in history and geography. I am 40ish yrs old. I live in a small town in south Texas.
I have too many faves to list, but I absolutely LOVE historical fiction-but not the tacky romance novels. I'll read anything relating to medieval times, edwardian and victorian England, U.S. during 1920's-30's-40's.
I don't have a favorite. I'll listen to anything.
Still love The Walking Dead. Also goofy reality shows like 90 Day Fiance and Married at First Sight :)
I like to sew using vintage fabrics and trims. I do not consider myself an artist, but I do like to create things. I am just beginning in paper crafts and collage. I love taking photos, but am not much of a scrapbooker. I love to make "junk journals".
Beautiful, sparkly things. Old, worn, tattered, previously loved things. Fairies. Roses. Tiny things. Interesting old books. OLD (1960's and before) paper items such as magazines, letters, receipts, photos, patterns, greeting cards, etc. Paint by numbers (either ready to paint or already painted). Weird, kitchy pens or markers. Washi tape. Souvenir patches. Pressed pennies. Rose or Lavender tea.
We have a 65 pound Staffordshire Terrier who thinks she is my tiny lap dog. I love things with pit bull dogs all gussied up. Seeing a "killer beast" in a crown with some glitter makes me happy. My princess is named Priscilla Jean Henrietta O'Hare aka Tulip (Whoo hoo! if you know where that name came from :)
I love getting packages covered with postage stamps. Instead of having the postal clerk slap that ugly, boring postage paid sticker in the corner, ask if he/she can use actual stamps instead. I know it's not always possible, but if you can, I would certainly appreciate it!
I love overalls! I have a few but they are wearing out quickly. The 3 pair that I have are being held together with safety pins...I appreciate worn, soft and broken in overalls-not new. If you are a thrift/tag sale shopper and run across a great pair of previously loved overalls, I would be thrilled beyond reason to receive them.
Size Large
I don't even know what happened all those years ago to cause me to flake. I'm better now.
